Morning Anderson, personally I'm sick of hearing about Palin, the media has makes her sound like she’s a Saint. I'm sick of hearing about her. These candidates should be concerned about the real issues, like our economy, the Iraq war and global warming. To everyone that reads this please say a prayer for the folks here in Texas; it looks as if Ike could be pretty devastating for our great state. Anderson, are you coming to Texas? If you are, please be careful.

Palins speech at the repub convention was corny, dry, and boring. Barack Obama is genuinely exciting and inspiring, undeniably smart and thoughtful. And despite the GOP's best efforts to make "community organizer" sound like "communist agitator," he's dedicated himself to public service and public policy since leaving law school and forgoing a corporate firm salary. He's brought millions of voters into the process who would other check out.

I am concerned that the lack of push back by the media when they are clearly being manipulated and intiminated at a time when such reporting is as important as our Constitution. If the media fail at thier job, we all might get what we deserve for being complacement for so long. We need the media now more than ever to uncover the truth. Don't let fear be your guide.

TROOPER GATE--$95,000 that the taxpayers in her state is paying for her defense.

TAXPAYERS--paid for trips and home plus rides to and back to school for her kids.

ALASKA'S GOVERNMENT CORRUPTIONS from the GOVENOR to the U.S. SENATE.
Oct. 22, 2008 Sarah Palin approve of the bridge to nowhere.
Oct 29, 2006 Palin said on her campiagn add she welcome the bridge again.
when congress stop the money for the bridge Palin kept the

TAXPAYERS money and used it for her state instead of giving it back to the GOVERNMENT.
McCain/Palin have lobbyist working in their campaign as staff from the FANNIE MEA AND FREDDIE MAC.

The LIBRARY of her home state Palin wanted some books removed she didn't agreed. Even FIRED THE LIBRARIAN!

Even the group HEART doesn't want the McCain people to use their song"BARRACUDA", because the group feels that Sarah Palin dosen't represent the views as AMERICAN WOMEN.

Why is the media not taking the Republicans to task for such a blatant manipulation of Obama's comments? Instead of saying "that's not what he said", you are giving credence to the malicious claim and phony outrage by allowing every Republican surrogate you can find to come on and take Obama to task for something HE DID NOT SAY! Forget "keeping THEM honest' ; what about some integrity in what you're reporting?

When I heard about Palin being selected, I could not believe it! Being a long time member of the organization I respect the most, I was just waiting when their video of the aerial shooting of the Alaskan wolves emerge. AND IT DID! Speaking strictly from the humanistic point of view, how can anybody face herself/himself in the mirror voting for the individual like her. She comes from an uneducated, narrow mind set, no class, no intellect. People, please look beyond the pretty glasses and concentrate on the real issues. There is so much she stands against, ignoring the women's issues and environment. She does not believe in global warming? Does she need some basis courses? We could point her at the righ direction...... WAKE UP EVERYBODY!

The latest salvo in the Palin cultural war is Obama’s remarks, “a pig with lipstick”

McCain is ‘offended” by Obama’s remark “pig with lipstick.” albeit it’s an apt all of MeCain’s claims to be an agent of change. He claims Obama is attacking a helpless woman, Sarah Palin and demands an immediate apology.

Before Obama apologizes, we need to examine Sarah Palin’s economic agenda.

A good place to start is Michael Kinsey’s article “Alaskonomics” available at Time.CNN.

Here are some facts and figures I’d like to share.
   1. Sarah Palin was perfectly willing to accept the Bridge to nowhere until it became a political liability. Although she said “No thank you.” she kept the money.

   2. Alaska levies a 75% profit sharing tax on every barrel of oil that leaves the state. As a result every Alaskan gets $2,000 a year in subsidies, plus a $ 1,200 subsidy to off-set the high cost of fuel.(An off-set that McCain opposes for the lower 48). All of these benefits are subsidized at the pump by the folks in the lower 48. The higher the price of oil, the more oil revenues for Alaska, so don’t count on oil prices going down any time soon.

3. In addition, Kinsey cites figures from the Tax Foundation. According to this organization Alaska is first in federal spending. Alaskans pay an average of $ 5,434 per resident in federal taxes. They get a return of $13,950 per resident. Not bad math.

4. Palin attacks Obama for earmark requestions. According to a press release by Sarah Kruger (September 8, 2008), in 2007 Obama asked for $311 million dollars in earmarks, that’s about $ 25 for every Illinois resident. He hasn’t asked for any this year. However, this year Palin ask for $ 198 million dollars in earmarks, that amounts to $ 295 per resident. In other words a resident in of Wasillia Alaska gets nearly 12 times the amount of federal earmarks than a resident of Chicago.

With a pay off like this, it no wonder that Palin hates Obama with a passion.

This causes me to wonder what Palin puts first, American or Alaska.

Be rest assured, regardless of his posturing on earmarks, McCain will find a way to fork over billions of dollars to Alaska, enabling the Alaskans to pick up their checks in a brand new Cadillac, or perhaps a gas-guzzling Hummer. (The possibilities of patronage and corruption are rampant.) No wonder Dick Cheney endorses Palin as vice president.

Basically, while putting up a smoke screen, it seems to me that McCain is calling all the hogs to the feeding trough, particularly hogs from Alaska.

So what else can I say. When we are talking about “pigs with lipstick” - maybe the shoe fits.

If John McCain puts out an ad stating that Obama is referring to Palin with you can put lip stick on a pig. Well John McCain must believe Obama called Palin a pig. Why is there a discussion about what he was refering to. Instead the News Media should be in John McCains face asking him if Obama called his running mate a pig, but you do not. Just like they let McCain hide Palin from the National Media. twenty-four hour coverage of garbage. Do some real reporting.

Frankly, I am sick and tired of Palin and the media have definitely overkilled any excitement she could have conjured up in me. But the media is not the half of it; she has used the same speech everyday since her convention address. We heard it already! The McCain-Palin ticket is sounding like a broken record repeating itself - no substance, no change. Isn't that their newfound message? The reason why Obama can pull off the 'change' message is because he can speak about the same issue in more than one way in a very articulate manner and he is ready to defend that view in front of reporters.

The Big Three Media stood by in 2003 when Bush pummelled weak nead Democracts with slogans of " are you against for us or against us?' and "are you a patriot?" And with Karl Rove protege's at the helm, here we go again. Since Obama went Overseas, John McCain has been whining about elitism, the liberal media, and now if you mention the golden girls name, your sexist. Fox News runs rampant against demacracts 24hrs a day and uses all of is resources against one political group. You would think the other networks would be outrage, but there not. They refuse to even mention it. Media has a big roll in are Country and should always push back when being manipulated. Just like the leaders of the Democract Party, you guys have no guts either.

Can we please move on. The media is playing into McCain's hand by continuing to focus on Sarah Palin endlessly. Perhaps if she is not the focus of everything we can get on to hearing about the issues. I realize the press needs to take her on to get to what her issues are and she should step up and get this over with. We actually have reverse sexism going on here. Everyone has to tip toe around her for fear of being called sexist. If she dishes it out she should be willing to take it on the same level. It is rediculous! Let's get her interviewed and move on. What does she have to hide.

Everyone has to tip toe around her for fear of being called sexist. If she dishes it out she should be willing to take it on the same level. It is rediculous! Let's get her interviewed and move on. What does she have to hide.

McCain faults Obama for lack of experience and then picks Sarah Palin. Then tells the American people the difference is that Palin is running for VP and Obama for President. At his age, I wouldn't be so sure. If the American people think Sarah Palin is capable of running this country in the event of McCains death, they are CRAZY! The good news is with her experience, maybe to shore up the defecit she can sell Air Force One on Ebay. She doesn't really need it. She is down to earth. Perhaps a Toyota Camary?

This is politics as its worst. Sarah Palin (I feel is a racist) and that's why the Republican Party is clinging to her? She would never meet with any black or other special interestes group for that matter while she was the governor. She represent what the republicans really feel about the lower classed people. I guarantee the McCains really don't like Palin, because they feel she is beneath them. They what to call Obama an elitist, but he and his wife grew up with money.

McCain talks about country first, he didn't think about country when he selected Palin nor when she goes back to Alaska and misuse Sep 11, as a publicity stunt. Several mothers and father has watched their sons and daughters deploy to this Gods forsaken war, but you do not see any TV cameras on them. She is totally using both misfortunate things in our history for proganda and a boost in campaing ratings. How can John McCain just set back and allow his precious Palin direspect the families that lost so much on Sep 11. Is he really putting the country first.

Finally, Palin acused Hiliary of whinnning during the primaries when the word sexism was used stating "criticism come along with the territory", well what is she calling it know, since her party is throwing it around, like it's going out of style?

Republican Presidential Primer--
Five Easy Steps to the Presidency
1) Wrap yourself in the flag.
2) Grasp your Bible close to your heart.
3) Blame all things bad, both real and imagined, on the other party.
4) Demean, degrade and/or lie about your opponent continually.
5) Smile and tell the public what it wants to hear.

I hate to admit it, but I'm a woman AND a Republican. I am just SO embarrased at the way the Republicans are using gender to smear the Democrats. The lipstick thing is all hype unless McCain plans to apologize to Hillary Clinton and Mitt Romney to which he aimed similar swine remarks. That's a common saying used by Obama before Palin and by MANY others including a McCain aid who WROTE A BOOK with a similar title. To feign "outrage" and try to sway the female vote is even more insulting than picking a trophy VP candidate with little or no vetting to try to sway the female vote. When I hear that women are "flocking" to his campaign, I'm incredulous. Is it the novelty if a female VP? Or do women just not care about issues? How many other VP candidates have been sequestered by their handlers and not been allowed to talk to the voters or reporters? How many other have been allowed this long to prepare to take questions? If Palin is a "folk hero" and not just "fluff", let's hear her talk about her record and her platform IN HER OWN WORDS. Because I am SICK of spin and I don't give a rat's behind about her STORY. (Disclaimer: my comment was not meant to imply Palin is a rat's behind.)

Sarah Palin is obviously hiding more than her lips behind that lipstick. Anyone who can only spew insults and sarcasm is inexperienced and terrified. She looks like a deer in the head lights, but smiles and makes sarcastic comments and people love her. When the economy tanks even further and you can't afford food, clothing and have lost your home, just remember that smile. Maybe your Mortgage Company will do a workout to save your home based on your love for Sarah Palin. NOT!
