Yeah..Obama is lightening in a bottle…an empty one with no substance! He is all talk with nothing to back it up. That is why John McCain has risen up to and passed Obama in the polls. People are now seeing through the rhetoric and hearing absolutely nothing to back it up. Obama’s race isn’t as big of a factor as you and the media want to make it out to be. And while last night may have been historical it doesn’t mean that Obama has this race in the bag.

Last night was an incredible night for the Democrats. We need to see some movement in the polls. If the polls continue to slide then this dream is over.

@Cindy, if you don’t care for Obama why do you comment on every single blog piece about him? If you don’t have something nice to say…as my mother say’s, don’t say it at all, IMO. Can’t wait to see your fawning over the McCain Convention.

Cindy your confort in the polls about Obama is going to meet the greatest suprise come november.I have many friends of mine ,they are young and first time voters but none of them has ever been polled. So watch out for a sunami of obamamians in novermber.

First of all its not an empty bottle. I don’t think you would like to be called an empty bottle at the age of 47 (although, not sure how educated you are, given your comment).

Second of all, a half full bottle with a lightening is much more preferable than a bottle full of poison that we have been drinking for the past 8 years.

I’d much rather prefer a short, but yet wise experience vs. long and all the way WRONG experience.

I still have hope in this country, in its ingenuity and strive to be an example of a good citizen around the world.

For the first time in 8 years I am so proud of this Country, we are finally picking the right person.

It must be so hard for die hard Republicans who have to put on a front and support their by default candidate who has NO chance!!

Last night was a night that I will forever remember. I called all family and friends and told them to make sure they sit down with their children & grandchildren to watch and to make sure that the explain the significance of it to the younger childen who are too young to know.

Oneof my wishes is that we could add Alabama to Senator Obama’s electoral map.

As far as Obama winning in November….dream on! And if by some EXTREMELY rare chance that it happens we all will be crying when he raises taxes on EVERYONE that makes $42,000 or more a year. You think it’s bad now wait until that happens! If you don’t believe it will happen look up the 2008 Democratic Budget that they made up. This isn’t a scare tactic it is a reality.

Most things that Obama has said he will do was tried by Jimmy Carter and it failed miserably. Did you even know that? Have you researched your man’s ideas!? Look it up! Blind faith is a terrible thing to have.

i have been watching both sides for the last year,i really believe americans need a younger open and determined president it doesnt matter about experience look wha t experience has done for them with the bush goverment,besides the democratic party has tons of experience they make it sound like Obama is working alone he has a great many of people who with tons of experience who cant wait to help him lead the country ,and what people seem to forget Hillary will be one of those people one thing for certain he cant do any worse than whats already been done of course if they elect mccain well i shutter to think about it,

Hmm, some of us have jobs and professions and are unable to comment of every single entry on the CNN 360 Blog. Get a life, grow up, or go away. Some of us have work to do, but I’m sure we’ll hear more of your nonsense later on.

I hope that in Obama’s speech he weaves in some voice clips of Reverend King giving his “I have a dream” speech with King’s image on the screen with Obama. That would be cool and very satisfying - its not often that you see real change occur in your lifetime. This one should be savored.

How can we call this election a democracy when there are millions of Permanent residents who have lived in this country, pay their taxes and thier voices cannot be heared. Speaking about change, we need new laws that will allow permanent residents like me vote and have a say in this election process.

We need real change, specially healthcare. I am tired of insurance companies dictating to the doctors what to do and what not to do.

Last night I was glued to CNN watching the final night of the DNC convention, it was simply wonderfullllllll! I pray for this country daily in hopes that it will continue to be at the fore front of the world on life issues. I hope last night proved that as Americans we can and that we should stand firm on the US constitution that our fore-fathers set in place. Last nigt was demonstration of our constitution in action.
