August 12th, 2008 10:01 pm ET Good Evening All |

| Lou (Canada) |
August 12th, 2008 10:02 pm ET That commercia of McCain with the Rocky theme is just too funny |
| Maureen T |
August 12th, 2008 10:02 pm ET Good evening Andy...McCain as Rocky? I don't think so... |
| Megan Dresslar |
August 12th, 2008 10:02 pm ET That is good news for me, Russia and Georgia must stop the war. |
| Cindy |
August 12th, 2008 10:02 pm ET McCain's statement on the Georgia-Russia conflict was way better than Obama's. It showed his real knowledge of the area and situation there. Cindy...Ga. |

| CaseyJ - Palm Springs, CA |
August 12th, 2008 10:03 pm ET Militarily, we're spread to thin to have any impact, whether by threat or actions. |
| Lou (Canada) |
August 12th, 2008 10:03 pm ET It is very good that there is a cease fire.... if in fact there really is a cease fire. There are conflicting reports I believe |
| Andrew, Lafayette IN |
August 12th, 2008 10:03 pm ET didn't Hillary use the whole rocky thing during the primaries?? |
| Tracey - Boston |
August 12th, 2008 10:04 pm ET Russia is being a bully. If South Ossetia wants to join with North Ossetia talking should have been the first step |
| Mike, Syracuse, NY |
August 12th, 2008 10:05 pm ET I fail to see how Obama's call for a Un resolution would have accomplished anything. The Russians would just veto it, and laugh. |
| Lou (Canada) |
August 12th, 2008 10:05 pm ET I thought that part of the cease fire agreement was that the President of Georgia had to go.... who is Russia to tell a democratic country that the leader has to go... |
| Frank El Dorado Hills, CA |
August 12th, 2008 10:05 pm ET Obama's initial response to the conflict in Georgia was an exercise in moral equivalence (as opposed to supporting our ally Georgia). McCain called on Russia to 'immediately and unconditionally cease military action and withdraw all forces...' Of course Obama changed his position to conform with McCains position 72 hours later. Change we can believe in. |
| Mike, Vietnam |
August 12th, 2008 10:06 pm ET How do US officials think their words are going to stop Russian attacks? They are still hung up in Iraq, Iran, and other countries, how will they find time to assist in Georgia? |
| Jolene |
August 12th, 2008 10:06 pm ET Hello bloggers! It's interesting how things turn. A few weeks ago Obama was touring overseas and seen as 'the one" now McCain is seen as the one who can handle a world crisis better. Gotta love politics. |
| Megan Dresslar |
August 12th, 2008 10:06 pm ET I agree with bloggers.......... all of you have good point..... I hope they will be safe not to drop the bomb. |
| Tracey - Boston |
August 12th, 2008 10:06 pm ET What is sad is that the UN seems to have no effect... |
| Cindy |
August 12th, 2008 10:07 pm ET All the U.S. can do is get sanctions passed on Russia if they don't stop attacking Georgia. We can't send in troops that we don't have. Cindy...Ga. |
| Mike, Syracuse, NY |
August 12th, 2008 10:07 pm ET If Georgia had been part of NATO we and all the other NATO members would have been committed to defend them. |
| Heather |
August 12th, 2008 10:08 pm ET John McCain is right! Putin lied to Bush right to his face! The Russians shut off fuel to Lithuania. They use oil as political tool.McCain personally knows the guy who is Pres of Georgia very well. The elite of Russia want the old Russia back |
| Jolene |
August 12th, 2008 10:08 pm ET I'm sure the UN accomplishes some great things but when it comes to these conflicts, they do seem to not have enough pull. |
| Janna |
August 12th, 2008 10:08 pm ET Anderson, you have such a remarkable talent in always asking EXACTLY the questions that are in my head.... Thanks! |
| CaseyJ - Palm Springs, CA |
August 12th, 2008 10:08 pm ET David Gergen on Obama..." As the Russians became more brutal and clearly went over the line, he hardened up, while still emphasizing the ultimate need for negotiations. In all of this, he was acting in concert with the Bush administration as well as NATO allies." |
| Lou (Canada) |
August 12th, 2008 10:09 pm ET @Mike- that is why Russia fought so had to keep Georgia out of NATO last time round |
| ron |
August 12th, 2008 10:09 pm ET Anderson, What was that comment about "both candidates encouraging Georgia" about? I hadn't heard Senator Obama do that as far in the context in which it was mentioned. |
| Jo Anne Cummings |
August 12th, 2008 10:10 pm ET Cease fire.....it's a starting point. |
| Heather - Spokane, WA |
August 12th, 2008 10:10 pm ET Im just glad that Russia has finally backed off Georgia. Hopefully there can be peace somewhere. |
| Josh |
August 12th, 2008 10:10 pm ET The situation with Caylee and Casey is so tragic. What is everyone's thoughts on where she is? What is the mother's motive for withholding the whereabouts of her daughter? Josh..MI |
| sylvia chicago |
August 12th, 2008 10:11 pm ET doesn't matter if Georgia is or isn't a member of NATO; none of the world organizations will act because Russia has too much to much influence in the most sensitive and destabilized regions of the modern world |
CNN |
August 12th, 2008 10:11 pm ET Hi, everyone – welcome to the Tuesday blog |

| Megan Dresslar |
August 12th, 2008 10:11 pm ET Cindy in GA, |
| James Wolobah |
August 12th, 2008 10:11 pm ET Good evening Anderson and all. What actually can the U.S. do to prevent a reoccurrence of the Russian onslaught against its neighbors? Militarily, can the U.S. and Europe defeat Russia? |
| lynn |
August 12th, 2008 10:11 pm ET McCain does not have the diplomatic skills that are needed in a global world where America does not have as strong a voice as it used to. |
| Andrew, Lafayette IN |
August 12th, 2008 10:12 pm ET Seems strange that both candidates are talking to the leader of Georgia.. when they arent even a leader of the US yet... Shouldn't Rice, or Bush be speaking with officals in Russia and Georgia.. |
| Frank El Dorado Hills, CA |
August 12th, 2008 10:12 pm ET Who do you trust to face down Putin (the Ex KGB agent). The community organizer or the former war hero? |
| Michael |
August 12th, 2008 10:12 pm ET Good Evening Anderson, I think the US need to stay out of the Russia- Georgia conflict . Because I'm afraid there will be another cold war!!! |
| EVE |
August 12th, 2008 10:12 pm ET It should be noted that John McCain is flanked by a lobbyist paid by Georgia. Things aren't always what they seem! Do we really want a military solution to everything and a return to the Cold War? That's exactly the change I'm anticipating with Obama. |
| John |
August 12th, 2008 10:13 pm ET It scares me that McCain is constantly working the military angle. Whether with the troops or now with Georgia. Will he take us down a path that we cannot take? I'm sure most of America does not want to enter another war. Where does that take us. His comments on Iran, Russia, Pakistan - which one will he choose? |
| Jo Ann, North Royalton, Ohio |
August 12th, 2008 10:13 pm ET Georgia is the only outlet to the Caspian Sea not under Russian control. If Russia takes control of it we could have a bigger oil crisis on our hands. That is scary! |
| Shannon |
August 12th, 2008 10:13 pm ET I want Obama to pick Tim Kaine! He is the perfect choice |
| Paula, Colorado |
August 12th, 2008 10:13 pm ET Anderson, |
| Tracey - Boston |
August 12th, 2008 10:13 pm ET "President Saakashvili, is urging President Bush to “stand up for freedom” and support Georgia’s cause." taken form cnn.com Russia vs. Georgia, why such concern? Why doesn't the European Union do something, say something? It is after all a European affair. |
| Josh |
August 12th, 2008 10:14 pm ET Michael, I agree with you. Not sure I'd go to the degree of going into another "war," but I'd like the US to stay out of international conflicts for a bit. |
| Mike, Vietnam |
August 12th, 2008 10:14 pm ET James- |
| Shannon |
August 12th, 2008 10:14 pm ET You can't blame Mark Sanford for not being able to name one difference between the Bush and McCain economic policies. There are none |
| Cindy |
August 12th, 2008 10:14 pm ET No one knows who the VP for either candidate will be. So why does everyone waste our time trying to guess? We could be getting actual news stories. Cindy...Ga. |
| anthony |
August 12th, 2008 10:15 pm ET Mccain's comments on the situation sounds like he is the president, this is the same thing Obama was accused of after his tour. Obama on the other hand stayed within his place as a presumtive nominee. Sound to me like someone needs to remind Mccain that he is not the president. |
| Heather - Spokane, WA |
August 12th, 2008 10:15 pm ET I wouldnt be able to tell the difference between the Bush administration and McCain's either. I do not see any difference at all so I cant blame that senator for not being able to tell the difference. |
| Rekha Joy A |
August 12th, 2008 10:15 pm ET Hi Anderson, Looking especially cool today. Nice tie! I hope the cease fire stays for good. |
| Jolene |
August 12th, 2008 10:15 pm ET Great segment from Jessica Yellin. Had to giggle about the bad Santa wanna be rockette though! |
| David, Indiana |
August 12th, 2008 10:17 pm ET Good that Russia and Georgia are stopping hostilities. You end up seeing in all of this that President Bush isn't all that bad in some respects. McCain and Obama both have a ways to go. Are those Rockettes? Discretion...wooing...passion...coy...serious auditions. Good moment in the campaign, though Mark Sanford not being able to come up with a difference between McCain and Bush. |
| David (Atlanta) |
August 12th, 2008 10:18 pm ET Good evening bloggers let see how long Russia really will leave Georgia alone. |
CNN |
August 12th, 2008 10:18 pm ET evening everyone. |
| Fay, CA |
August 12th, 2008 10:18 pm ET It's difficult to imagine another potential VP candidate for the Dems who'd bring as much buzz and excitement as Hillary Clinton would. |
| James |
August 12th, 2008 10:19 pm ET The Russians are almost daring us. Do you know how close Iraq is to Russia? All our leaders can do is talk tough. How many countries told us not to go into Iraq? Did we listen? So who are we to tell them not to go into Georgia? That's how they view this whole situation. |
| pati mc., camp hill, pa |
August 12th, 2008 10:20 pm ET Good Evening Anderson. Great conversation so far. When are we gonna get our surpirse? LOL. |
| Heather - Spokane, WA |
August 12th, 2008 10:20 pm ET Its funny that the Republican VP wannabes are the ones doing the serious kissing-up and the Democratic ones are just staying in the back. |
| EJ (USA) |
August 12th, 2008 10:20 pm ET How are you doing tonight Anderson? |
| Andrew, Lafayette IN |
August 12th, 2008 10:20 pm ET I agree with you Fay. If Hillary is picked, she'll fall into line and be a good VP. |
| Cindy |
August 12th, 2008 10:21 pm ET I don't think Obama will ever pick Hillary for his VP. Cindy..Ga. |
| Larry |
August 12th, 2008 10:21 pm ET Mark Sanford, is he on obama's short list of gaffers? |
| Shannon |
August 12th, 2008 10:21 pm ET I personally think it would be a huge mistake to bring on Clinton as VP. Obama wants and has to win the presidency for himself. If he were to bring on Hillary his entire presidency would be overshadowed by people saying she won it for him or he couldn't have done it himself. He can do it and he will win it without her. The POTUS has to be able to stand on their own. |
| Megan Dresslar |
August 12th, 2008 10:21 pm ET That is my choice to pick Hillary Clinton will be Vice president with Obama.... |
| Lorie Ann, Buellton, California |
August 12th, 2008 10:21 pm ET Let's hope the vp choices will be what's best for the country, not best for winning. |
| Mike, Syracuse, NY |
August 12th, 2008 10:21 pm ET Any choice for Obama other than Hillary will be a ho-hum choice. Someone else will also not unite the party. |
| Maureen T |
August 12th, 2008 10:21 pm ET Thanks Jessica, but don't count Hilary out just yet... |
| Jo Ann, North Royalton, Ohio |
August 12th, 2008 10:22 pm ET It would be a lose/lose situation for Hillary Clinton to take the VP spot because if Obama wins and he does a good job she will not have a chance in 2012, if he does a bad job she will be associated with his mistakes. |
| Mary |
August 12th, 2008 10:23 pm ET I think that the VP discussion is very important. It is news, everyone is so critical of the current administration. We do need change its just what kind and by who. Hillary is going to make some noise. I think it is going to hurt the dems. |
| Jolene |
August 12th, 2008 10:23 pm ET Mark Page Halperin has a great point. We really don't know who is on the short list do we? But we do seem to have fun speculating.... |
| Janna |
August 12th, 2008 10:23 pm ET Are there any Obama supporters who would not vote if Clinton was on the ticket? I don't see how he could lose the election if she was VP. of course, then he would have to live with his choice for 4 years.... I think they'd be a great team but I don't think he agrees |
| Heather - Spokane, WA |
August 12th, 2008 10:24 pm ET I dont think Obama will ever pick Hillary. It would be a good team with her experience and his ideas, but with all of the stuff that went on in the primarys, I think it ruined her chances. |
| Dee Stevens |
August 12th, 2008 10:24 pm ET The European Union should apply serious discussion to soften the tensions of the Russian-Georgia conflict. Somehow the Unite Nations should step in and offer security measures. All those thousands of people in Geogia today in the streets waving their flag was quite a sight. I hope th situation will improve. A new era of detente is needed. |
| Roweena D'Souza, Seattle |
August 12th, 2008 10:24 pm ET Steve is very eloquent today. Great conversation. |
| brandi |
August 12th, 2008 10:24 pm ET so Obama likes a guy which is keeping him in the running for VP? is there anything else to that? great respect i understand, but not consideration simply because he likes him. |
| EVE |
August 12th, 2008 10:25 pm ET Hillary will do nothing to advance Obama. All she could do is energize the Republicans. |
| Sarah |
August 12th, 2008 10:25 pm ET I don't think Obama would ever pick Hilary. They worked against each other for so long, why would he bring back for another 4+ years? |
| Cindy |
August 12th, 2008 10:25 pm ET Not all presidents and VP's have loved each other. So it really doesn't matter if McCain likes Romney or Obama likes Hillary. All that matters is if they can get the job done together. Cindy...Ga. |
| Susan |
August 12th, 2008 10:25 pm ET Great discussion on the VP...something Obama should keep in mind, there are many people that will not vote for him if he doesn't choose Hillary as his VP....I have never voted Repbulican in my life, this may be a first...or I might just not vote at all. |
| Shannon |
August 12th, 2008 10:26 pm ET I hope Obama announces the pick at the convention! |
| David, Indiana |
August 12th, 2008 10:26 pm ET Hillary's problem is that Bill is a former two term president, if that weren't the case, she would be a shoo in for vp. She's still a possibility. That says a lot. Good point about where the candidate's gut feeling takes him by Jessica Yellen. |
CNN |
August 12th, 2008 10:26 pm ET word on the street here is a new laptop is on the way, and i can't wait for that day! i'm back online now after being booted off in an odd technolgical light show 10 minutes ago... this little computer has worked hard, but i think it's time to say goodbye |
| pati mc., camp hill, pa |
August 12th, 2008 10:26 pm ET Steve had a great point. We need to keep in mind that whomever is chosen for VP could end up as President. Yikes! Frightening! |

August 12th, 2008 10:26 pm ET Yeah ... China can you say Milli Vanilli?? |

CNN |
August 12th, 2008 10:28 pm ET interesting discussion.. which vp candidate really would give either presidential candidate a bounce? |
| Jo Ann, North Royalton, Ohio |
August 12th, 2008 10:28 pm ET I think that both candidates will pick someone who will help them win the election, not necessarily someone who would do the best job. |
| Jolene |
August 12th, 2008 10:28 pm ET That's great news Erica! I hope Anderson gets a new laptop too. It's about time. |

August 12th, 2008 10:28 pm ET Erica, is it time for a Mac? |
| Caren in Los Angeles/soon-to-be Boston |
August 12th, 2008 10:28 pm ET Sarah, David Gergen once reminded us that Kennedy didn't like Johnson, but he chose him anyway because he knew it would be easier to win the presidency. It could always happen again. |

August 12th, 2008 10:30 pm ET I agree, Kevin. I think Biden would be a good choice. |

August 12th, 2008 10:31 pm ET Jo Ann, my sentiments exactly. I keep thinking that, and it's scary! |

August 12th, 2008 10:31 pm ET Anderson...I think Joe Biden would help Obama and Mitt Romney would help McCain the most. Cindy...Ga. |

August 12th, 2008 10:31 pm ET when has the vp choice ever been much more than a blip? really, who could mccain possibly choose that would give him a bounce post dnc? besides hillary that is |

August 12th, 2008 10:31 pm ET Oprah rocks!!! She was right on the money with Obama!! I know she is why I looked at him in the beginning and I was then deeply impressed. |
| JImmy in California |
August 12th, 2008 10:32 pm ET I do not think Obama can choose HRC as it would send a signal of weakness to the country in that he would have given into the demands of her supporters. There is also the fact that she carries so much baggage with her also and is an established part of the Washington environment he wants to begin to change. |
| CAROLYN JONES |
August 12th, 2008 10:32 pm ET that was sad all i see is a talented child, god did'nt make everyone perfect shame on china now thier like america, looks looks. |

August 12th, 2008 10:32 pm ET Maybe what Casey needs is NO attention. What is her deal. If someone has her baby and she is worried about her safety wouldn't she tell someone. Like maybe the FBI. I can't figure her out. |
| Gloren (Florida) |
August 12th, 2008 10:32 pm ET Hi, Anderson, Erica and bloggers! The latest outrageous claim on the Caylee Anthony's disappearance is that is grandfather just claimed that the 3-year old was kidnapped. Okay...this is getting more bizarre by the minute... |
| Sarah |
August 12th, 2008 10:32 pm ET It's not that the girl lip synced... It's that the actual singer was told she wasn't pretty enough to represent China. |

August 12th, 2008 10:32 pm ET Andy, Oprah only presented Barack to people who might not have considered him for President. Barack did the rest! I don't believe Oprah endorsing Barack brought that many curious people...that's just my opinion, of course. |

August 12th, 2008 10:33 pm ET Regarding the two "singing" girls, we all know those with the "looks" always get farther in life. However, what a dispicable thing to teach a child–that she is second-class or not good enough. |
| Cindy |
August 12th, 2008 10:34 pm ET Yeah Casey is hiding something alright!! Hiding that her daughter is dead at her own hand. What else could there be with her lying so much? Cindy...Ga. |

August 12th, 2008 10:34 pm ET im so worried about this little girl that is missing. i cant believe her mother will not cooperate! it is absolutely infuriating. |

August 12th, 2008 10:35 pm ET I hope Casey never sees the light of day until she tells the police the truth about her daughter. This is the strangest case I have ever heard. I really wonder if she sold the child. It is strange all around. |
| Mike, Syracuse, NY |
August 12th, 2008 10:36 pm ET Casey needs to be charged with obstruction of justice. |
| Maureen T |
August 12th, 2008 10:36 pm ET Sorry folks, but Casey is a compulsive liar! |
| Renee |
August 12th, 2008 10:36 pm ET Romney is the best choice for McCain. You get the right mix for experience and age. Where's Bill Bennett these days? |
| Heather - Spokane, WA |
August 12th, 2008 10:36 pm ET I hate to say this but Im thinking that the mother is doing this out of attention. It has been said that she is a habitual liar and likes to try and get attention. The girl may be with a friend in another state and Casey set all of this up to feed her attention craving. |
| CaseyJ - Palm Springs, CA |
August 12th, 2008 10:36 pm ET I'd plant a tracking device on Casey and let her go–let's see where she will head to or what her actions will be when on her own. |
| pati mc., camp hill, pa |
August 12th, 2008 10:36 pm ET Personally I would like to see Obama pull some VP outta the hat that no one has even considered. Someone who is qualified...period. That would be the intelligent thing to do, but will it be politically viable? That is the big question. Those little girls in China are bith victims. The whole this is way beyond sad. A government using kids like that, if you ask me it is just wrong. |

August 12th, 2008 10:36 pm ET Hmmm, I wonder where is Caylee to be found???? they are still looking for her….. I hope she will be found or dead……. I don't understand why she lied to police all times???? |
| lynn |
August 12th, 2008 10:36 pm ET Sarah: Unfortunately our media tells that to little girls and teenagers every day!! China has done a great deal right; why do we always pick and probe to find the negative. |
| Mary |
August 12th, 2008 10:37 pm ET If she is protecting her child wouldn't she tell them what happened. |
| jen rose |
August 12th, 2008 10:37 pm ET I see that Casey Anthony does have an attorney, but is he giving her the right advice? Casey can't seem to quit telling lies. |
| Heather |
August 12th, 2008 10:37 pm ET That song Lies Lies Lies comes to mind. For someone who lies all the time how would she know what the truth was.She reminds me of Scott Peterson.Does she realize that the policeman have families also.I think she or someone else left her car by accident and she died and she panicked. |
| CAROLYN JONES |
August 12th, 2008 10:37 pm ET the child is dead and they know it, if she gets out of jail she will be on boat to a new life. |

August 12th, 2008 10:38 pm ET LOL |

August 12th, 2008 10:38 pm ET Am I the only person in America who doesn't care about Oprah? I never, ever watch her show. I won't read a book she recommends, let alone vote for the person she backs to run the country. I am very glad that Anderson is not letting up on the story of little Caylee. I know you don't always do missing people but this one is a little special. |
| Mike, Syracuse, NY |
August 12th, 2008 10:38 pm ET Joan, Obama can't pick Oprah. She'd be a bigger celebrity than he is. |
| Roweena D'Souza, Seattle |
August 12th, 2008 10:38 pm ET We hope Casey is protecting her daughter, what reasons could be compelling enough for a mother to behave in such a weird manner? |
| Dee F |
August 12th, 2008 10:38 pm ET Thnaks Anderson after Caylee's story I really needed to lol and you provided it just now, hopefully someone there can help you pronounce it |

August 12th, 2008 10:40 pm ET From what I understand, in Florida the name Zenaida Gonzalez is like John Smith anywhere else in the US. |

August 12th, 2008 10:40 pm ET Well Lynn, I hear what you're saying, but still, it was broadcast to the whole world that the little singer's buckteeth would make the country's image look bad. I mean, that's awful! Whether or not she said she feels honored enough to have been chosen to sing, tht's still incredibly awful that somone else had to replace her! |

August 12th, 2008 10:41 pm ET Is it only me or is the baby sitter getting a makeover every time she comes on air? |
| CaseyJ - Palm Springs, CA |
August 12th, 2008 10:41 pm ET That babysitter is really getting her 15 minutes of fame, isn't she? She even looks a little more "made-up" tonight than the first time we saw her. I wonder when her book will be coming out... |
| Cindy |
August 12th, 2008 10:41 pm ET OK...has this Holly woman gotten her 15 seconds of fame or what!? Why is she continuing to be on? She knows nothing! Cindy...Ga. |

August 12th, 2008 10:42 pm ET Straight point is when you let Russia know that you don’t accept invading a sovereign country. |

| Jolene |
August 12th, 2008 10:42 pm ET Anderson: You are too funny. I give you credit, I wouldn't even attempt to pronounce it. I would just call it a wild dog with a large nose...Ha! |
| Mike, Vietnam |
August 12th, 2008 10:42 pm ET Chupacabras are no myth...in my opinion. They are evident here in Vietnam and I have heard story from other country too. They all just have different name. |

August 12th, 2008 10:43 pm ET How about a series of segements highlighting the responsibilites and importance of the VP to a President? The role has evolved considerable over the last several decades....and so far we're mostly discussing the potential candidates for VP and what they will bring to winning....what about after the election? |
| Heather - Spokane, WA |
August 12th, 2008 10:43 pm ET If its true that Caylee drowned in a pool, then Casey would'nt be held responsible for it. If it did happen, she needs to speak up. Otherwise, these people need to wake up and realize that something bad has happened to Caylee and Casey had something to do with it. |
| Sarah |
August 12th, 2008 10:43 pm ET Yeah, Holly hasn't provided any information. She says the same thing over and over. |
| Roweena D'Souza, Seattle |
August 12th, 2008 10:44 pm ET was that the chu pacabra? it looked like a dog! |
| Jolene |
August 12th, 2008 10:44 pm ET Can Casey write a note and mail it to her folks telling them the information without it being read by the authorities? |
| Maureen T |
August 12th, 2008 10:44 pm ET Anderson, I think Holly Gagne has had her 15 minutes. Thank goodness Randi Kaye is reporting on Caylee though! |
| Caren in Los Angeles/soon-to-be Boston |
August 12th, 2008 10:44 pm ET I'm with you on that one, Cindy. I've seen her on AC360, Nancy Grace, and Larry King, and she doesn't have much but opinions to contribute. |
| CAROLYN JONES |
August 12th, 2008 10:44 pm ET she can tell the truth.if you r not lying the recording dont matter? |
| pati mc., camp hill, pa |
August 12th, 2008 10:44 pm ET Casey should be willing to do anythng to help find her daughter. Why would you worry about your converstaions being recorded if you have nothing to hide? Just saying. |
| Mary |
August 12th, 2008 10:44 pm ET Why is she afraid of being recorded. She is guilty of something. |
| sylvia chicago |
August 12th, 2008 10:44 pm ET there is nothing more precious then a young child; impressionable, filled with nothing but hope for the future, but once you crush that spirit you can never get it back...shame on them. |
| Lorie Ann, Buellton, California |
August 12th, 2008 10:44 pm ET So I guess the bottom line is that no one has any new info on Caylee's whereabouts. The babysitter has zip to add. |

| EJ (USA) |
August 12th, 2008 10:45 pm ET When is Anderson going to unveil our super surprise? |
| Uma in Liverpool, UK |
August 12th, 2008 10:45 pm ET Greetings, all. The question was posed, 'Is Casey lying to protect her daughter, or to protect herself?' I think the question is begged, 'Is Casey a pathological liar and/or sociopath?' |
| Hannah Storm |
August 12th, 2008 10:46 pm ET now I know I really dont like burger king |

August 12th, 2008 10:46 pm ET No more BK for me |
| Mary H. St. Louis, MO |
August 12th, 2008 10:46 pm ET No more whopper juniors for me... Yuck.... that is just too gross... |
| Lisa |
August 12th, 2008 10:46 pm ET If she is trying to protect her daughter then why did she tell all these lies? She could have just said that she can't talk because it will endanger her child. She really didn't need to lead the police on a wild goose chase. |
| Ken in NC |
August 12th, 2008 10:46 pm ET Well I guess that means you can't have it your way at Burger King. No more Burger King for me. LOL |
| Gloren (Florida) |
August 12th, 2008 10:46 pm ET Why haven't they polygraphed this girl about the possibility of doing harm to her child and/or her child having drowned or having died accidentally? One would think these procedures would have been carried out but there is such a thick cloud of confusion covering this entire case...the grandfather now claims the girl was kidnapped and that some people are being watched because of that...it's just crazy! |
| Heather |
August 12th, 2008 10:47 pm ET Exactly,if you have nothing to hide why would you care.I agree completely. |
| Saera El Paso, TX |
August 12th, 2008 10:47 pm ET casey seems obviously unstable, so, if they want to get information out of her they need to work at it from a psychological point if view. i think that would mean humoring her about the no-recording thing. to find a kid i think that's not much to pay. |
| Sharon |
August 12th, 2008 10:47 pm ET The police need to give both the grandparents and Casey a lie dectector test, plain and simple to find out some truth about Caylee disappearance, if not all. This is going on to long. Why are the handling them with kids gloves? |
| Jolene |
August 12th, 2008 10:47 pm ET I lived across from a Burger King in college, called it the "BK Lounge" so I've grown sick of their food over the years, that video of the dude taking a bath has got to be it for me now. |
| Ramona Parks |
August 12th, 2008 10:47 pm ET I can't believe the cops and everyone else is falling for the lies of Casey. She needs to be charged with murder. I bet she will think again then and tell where that precious little Caley may be. |
| Jan |
August 12th, 2008 10:48 pm ET OK, that dude bathing in the sink at Burger King is disgusting. |

August 12th, 2008 10:48 pm ET I think Obama should send Oprah on the road to start stumping on a bigger scale. |
| Fay, CA |
August 12th, 2008 10:49 pm ET While I do admire Oprah Winfrey, her endorsement of Obama didn't really have any influence on me whatsoever. |
| Lorie Ann, Buellton, California |
August 12th, 2008 10:49 pm ET Oprah has always been a force. I think she has a great deal of clout. People trust her. |
| Cindy |
August 12th, 2008 10:49 pm ET I do not like Oprah at all!! If people vote for someone because of a celeb endorsement rather than the issues then they shouldn't be voting!! Cindy...Ga. |
| Mary |
August 12th, 2008 10:49 pm ET The chupacabra that I heard of is a little more frightning than that. I don't think it would be running away either |
| janet |
August 12th, 2008 10:50 pm ET If Oprah says something, I do believe a large percentage of her viewers will do what she says |
| Claire |
August 12th, 2008 10:50 pm ET I'm sorry I don't believe that Oprah is responsible for Obama getting 1 million votes! I hope people aren't so crazy as to listen to a celeb to see who to vote for. Oprah is so over hyped. |
| Suzanne |
August 12th, 2008 10:51 pm ET i'm no genius, but i don't need a consultant to tell me that Oprah's endorsement landed him a few votes. |
| deborah, OH |
August 12th, 2008 10:51 pm ET I never liked BK. And now it's even worse than I thought. |

August 12th, 2008 10:52 pm ET Sorry Coop...that is a dog or wolf!! Doesn't look like any chupacabra that I've heard of. Cindy..Ga. |

August 12th, 2008 10:53 pm ET Anderson, I hope Mark David Chapman never gets out of prison. He took away the greatest Beatle John Lennon! Chapman should stay there forever!! |

| CaseyJ - Palm Springs, CA |
August 12th, 2008 10:53 pm ET I'm guessing the guy taking the "bath" did it to get on YouTube. I wonder what he was doing before he got into the tub? Yikes!!! Of course, all of our minds went into the gutter... |
| Jolene |
August 12th, 2008 10:53 pm ET Oprah is a power house and I do believe that she influenced people to get into politics but then again, this year, the political arena has been unbelievable so who knows. |

August 12th, 2008 10:56 pm ET Erica... Oh my god..... ROFL... I won't be able to step foot in a burger king without laughing out loud. Maybe he just had to get the grease off him and could not wait to get home to take a bath.. Or maybe he had a hot date right after work and had to freshen up... It takes all kinds to make this world go around. |
