I normally don’t think about diving vacations, but since seeing Anderson’s adventures recently, my mind has changed. I hope to have a similar experience seeing sharks up-close and get the adrenaline going. I’m now more interested in learning about these sharks and how I can help in their conservation.

Cool vid…thanks for sharing! That had to be absolutely amazing getting to do that. I hope we get to see footage of the 30 foot dive also that Anderson talked about.

One thing though…is it really wise to be holding on to the bar in the front of the cage when the shark can get to your hand right there…I mean really!? LOL Just wondering! LOL

It never ceases to amaze me…the beauty of these wonderful underwater creatures…and yet they can be so deadly. I applaud you for being brave enough to go down into the deep sea of unknown to allow all of us the ability to gain some knowledge and insight to the goins on down there.

Have fun, Anderson, but it all sounds like you’re taking a practice run ahead of the elections!

Hi there, Great video!! Isn’t it so cool under water? It feels like a different world that’s for sure. You can get so caught up in the moment down there. At least that’s how it feels for me. It’s really cool the way our ears hear the different sounds under water. Also, the sharks swimming by right there in front of you must have been such a sight!! Great work. Have a good day, see you later.

Anderson, it looks like you are hanging onto the bars at the front of the cage, where the shark is going to hit! It just looks dangerous from this perspective–glad you enjoyed yourself.
So, what’s the scariest of all–the gentle mountain gorillas; the big-as-your-head bugs; the graceful sharks? I know–it’s the politicians & the conventions right around the corner!

Hey Anderson,
So tell us, exactly what do Jaws’ tonsils look like? ;-)
Glad you are back uneaten.
Thanks!

Just you , a cage and a humongous shark grinning showing you all of his teeth, wow you are intrepid, what a thrill and rush of adrenalin it must have been , I’m jealous. I’m most jealous of you when you are among the breathtaking gorillas. I think you need a bigger boat”

Mr. Cooper,
All I can say is you are very BRAVE and thanks for the great story :)

Ratna Sadal   August 5th, 2008 5:24 pm ET

Not impressed!

Too many shark shows on TV on every channel almost.

AAAW I just jawned.

I have seen a corpse whose leg was bitten off by a shark.

Jolene   August 5th, 2008 6:44 pm ET

Anderson: I think your knuckles were about as white as that shark’s belly. Nice to see you enjoying yourself. Thanks for sharing more video.

The Great White shark is a majestic creature that is misunderstood. The movie Jaws gave them a bad rap. By the way Anderson, you looked great in the wet suit.

Anderson, I’m glad you’re home safe.. you seem to be having fun and scared at the same time.. I’m looking forward to seeing more.. see u.

Annie Kate   August 5th, 2008 8:47 pm ET

Cool video Anderson! Just how hard were you holding on to that bar though? When the shark came at you the first time did you feel like a shark treat just waiting to be eaten? Glad you weren’t that sharks favorite flavor. Thanks for sharing.
