Thousands of animals were slaughtered to promote a game. Although I am not a vegetarian and do not oppose the consumption of meat for normal meal purposes, I found it sad that Americans reportedly took pride in seeing a man consuming 66 hot dogs, 60 of which were most likely unnecessary in guaranteeing him a full stomach.
