Obama is just another power hungry two faced politician with big engine and no gas.
IF he wins the election and becomes president, I guarantee you will not see a decrease in subsidies to the Oil companies, you will not see a decrease in gov't beaurocricies, no fix for the health care crisis, illegal immigration will not be impacted in any significant way, but you WILL see an increase in murdered babies, deviant homosexual marriages will increase, our dollar will continue to decline and our enemies abroad (primarily in the Middle East) will pounce on the USA like a kitten on a ball of string. All this because Obama does not have experience, and he does not have a heart for this country. He wants to run the world's largest "business"- the United States! Im certainly not a Hillary fan, but if we have to have a Democrat, I'd far rather have her as a president than Obama.

I don't believe that Obama said he was a patriot of any partcular country; you may say it was assumed he meant that but assumption has no merit if he didn't say it.

Obama is a true patriot and should be commended. Especially in a time when this country is so divided. It takes guts to stand up for change and to restore hope for the future generation.

GOD bless you, Obama 08!!!!

Our country has been a "melting pot" of people as well as religion since its inception. That is what we as Americans have fought for the rights to forever. The only people I see "Obamacons" courting is the religious right. He declares he is not Muslim over and over. No where does he say he respects the right of all people to worship as they choose. Nor does he say that no matter how you worship you may still be a patriotic American. He swears he is. I think we all need to go back and look at Rev. Wright's sermons and the years Mr. Obama and his family listened to them. He could not have been lucky enouigh to miss all the inappropriate remarks. Does this make him less Patriotic to allw someone to speak of our country this way. Or does it allow for the practice of free speech. The laws of this country allow for free speech and Seperation of Church and State.(among others) If Mr. Obama is going to be the President should he not concentrate on enforcing the lawsin all he says and does not just sitting in his church.

I've stopped paying attention to the rantings of political commentators, afterall, you can take any comment or statistic and discertain a dozen different meanings.

The entire election process needs to be pared down to a convention for each party to determine their candidate based on his/her merits, and the campaign limited to weekends and holidays in the 6 months prior to the election. Afterall, most candidates already hold an elected job - and are being paid to work. How many of us "ordinary folks" could take such extended leave without being fired?

The President needs to be elected because he/she is the absolute best person for the job - and has the best resume and experience.
Emotion should not even enter into it. The frenzy of two or more years of campaigning is a wasted two years because no one is minding the business of governing the country.

I'm tired of the rhetoric, the promises, but mostly I'm tired of NOT having a working government. I'm tired of living paycheck to paycheck because the economy is in the toilet. and I'm tired of some blow-hard in Washington sending young men and women to fight battles based on a personal agenda and not because the US is being threatened.

Our only threat IS our government.

There's a little know liberal, facists, pacifist, communist ideological and left wing based group of Catholics and Interfaith groups in America. They hold up politicians across the country demanding goose step adherence to their big government spending and entitlement programs to perpetuate the welfare class in Ameirca and try to masquerade it as something Jesus would do. Jesus told the blind man to wash the mud out of his eye and to stop begging and go spread the good news. These folks want to keep the people blind because in the village of the blind the man with one eye is king.

How can anybody take anyone seriously that cannot spell the name "Hillary?"

Why would a Hillary Clinton supporter have anything good to say about Obama during the primary season? You support your candidate, and if you happen to lose the race, then you're mature enough to settle your differences and elect the person the Democratic voters have chosen, assuming you're a Democratic voter. James Carville is doing exactly what his party needs him to do. If Clinton had won the nomination, would you expect Obama supports to sit on the sidelines and not support their party's candidate? No, you would want them in the middle of the action as well, supporting "Hillary" Clinton.

You Sir are a lying liberal. You are not a patriot at all. My mother always told me that you are judge by the company you keep. And Barock Obama hangs out with some very shady people. i am a black man and some of my friends are upset at me but i am totally against socializing our country.

I urge you ladies and gentlemen. Do not close your eyes and be foolish. The liberals in the government are trying to take away our rights. It was too close for comfort. The Supreme court tried to take our second amendment away from us. we have the right to bare arms. Don't let these whacks radical liberals get away with it. Global warming is just another way of them trying to control us. we must rebel and over throw them if necessary.

CNN, please keep us informed on the issues that are important to America and the candidates positions. We do not need the 30 second sound bites and comments by a panel of so called experts.
General Clark's comments is an example of distortion. In response to a question on Obama's qualifications, he said McCain's war record did not qualify him to be president. Somehow that statement has become a conversation about Clark questioning McCain's patriotism or war record. American would be better served if we were discussing McCain qualifications and views.

On energy - He proposed suspending the gasoline tax without stating how he would pay for it. He also proposed offshore drilling that most experts say will not help for about ten years.

McCain has changed his position on most major issues but little is said about it by the media. Obama's changed his mind about accepting federal funding and the media is using "flip flop" overtime. There is no mention of the fact that only one in ten American taxpayers check the box on the 1040 Form to give $3. Maybe Obama is showing us a more excellent way of campaign financing.

The Rep say they have kept us save since 9/11; however, if there is another attack then it will help McCain. The media has agreed with this logic. No one has questioned why an attack will not mean we are no safer than we were on 9/11 and that our war on terror has been misguided. Just another view to consider and discuss since McCain agrees with the war and says the surge is working. Other than fewer casualities that we are all happy about, the media might let us know what is being accomplished. What is our mission and timeline for completing it?

CNN please spend less time talking about lapel pins and more on issues.

To the person would wrote about Obama's position on abortion. The bible also speaks against not carrying for the needy and misusing widows and children. To care for them is not "big government spending" but our obligation. To Tina: I heard a caller on C-Span say Obama will be arrested before the November election. Is that what you are waiting to hear about Obama?

I would more quickly vote for a Muslim, or Mormon, or Baptist who would help to protect the lives of the innocent unborn than I would for Obama. The Republicans are not the party of God but they do seem to follow (or attempt to follow) His values a little more than the Democrats - that is why I switched!

Obama is trying to bring everyone together--what this country was founded on. Will not work for all, but for many we need a little compromise at this point or lobbiests, CEO and big oil are just going to take over our great USA. Nothing wrong with trying to bring eveyone together and Obama probably has more patritism in his little finger than most of us. He cares enough to put up with all this garbage!

Once again our presidential nominees are talking about non-issues. Patriotism? who really cares? If an admittedly non-patriotic candidate emerged with real solutions to our country's problems, would the voters be stupid enough to follow the flag-waving, bible-citing, bread & circuses choices that we are currently seeing? I hope not.

When will our media wake up and realize that there are people out here who care about issues and solutions and absolutely hate their self-serving reliance on hot-button issues? Please, Anderson, wake up and be that journalist. Ask about executive power, report on the candidates views on a balanced budget, tell us what each of them thinks about long-term solutions to our lack of a manufacturing base and how we can compete with country's where the average salary for manufacturing jobs is dollars a day. THAT is what the media's role in our political process is supposed to be; not the current pandering.

Obama, Obama, Obama. When you salute the flag of this great nation, when you bring into your political grandstanding what this nation really stands for, when you do more than profess your "Patriotism" and you show your "religious beliefs" I will stand up and take notice.

As for seperation of Church and State: The Colonists did not want the State to start a church, however before the first Continental Congress, the members present prayed to God the Father. Lets start reading history correct, not just assuming what we think history is. As a people in this nation we have been duped by those who would want to drum out the name of the Lord, however, many people have tried, and those have failed. Jesus did say there will be a great falling away, and then he will come back. Be warned; when there are no more Christians left, you only have seven years.

I'm blown away by the article I read this morning regarding a U. S. General paying 80,000 Sunni tribesmen $500,000. a month to fight with us. When this $500,000 monthly stipend goes away will they still fight with us

I was disappointed in 360’s coverage of the reaction of the McCain and Obama campaigns to General Clark’s comments.
I feel the following information should have offered as context.
General Clark is a former Supreme NATO Commander, frequent TV commentator and former presidential candidate. Clark supported Hillary Clinton in the nomination race. The general is therefore used to speaking his own mind and not clearing his words with Obama campaign.
The comments Clark made did not question McCain’s honorable service as a POW and naval officer.
Clark expressed these views and/or reported these facts: McCain getting shot down and captured does not commend him. McCain’s years as a POW are relevant to his character but not to his executive experience. McCain’s highest level of command responsibility was for a peacetime naval air squadron. McCain lacks high-level executive training and experience in war.
By implication, only a high-ranking general or admiral like Clark, who was in charge of major land, air and naval forces in NATO’s successful Bosnia wartime operations can claim special qualifications on national security.
I don’t know if I think Clark’s views are correct or really relevant.
I do think the reporting of this story was poorly handled.
The assumption that Clark is a surrogate for the Obama campaign was not questioned.
The overall context, content and importance of Clark’s comments were distorted.

I agree with Loretta from California. The quote can imply that being a patriot and being a Muslim are mutually exclusive. Did Obama really say that sentence or did you just combine two separate comments? I hope it's not the latter. That's how people become misinformed about the candidates.

I'm finding that Obama changes his opinion after being questioned about many things. Like not saluting the flag during the Pledge of Allegiance.Like wearing the flag pin. Like denouncing his minister after tapes were shown of the Rev.

I don't think that religeon should be in the governnent at all. They have always been separate until Georgie changed the world. I believe that Obama has all it takes for pres just not at this time in history. I do believe that Hillary has earned the job. We need experience in the white house at such a crucial time.

Plus in the beginning Miss Oprah introduced him as the next pres. I don't like her influence in the world.. She is not Queen and for everyone to just say sure! we trust her. All that should never have happened.

Shows you how knowing the right person can make it easy..

All of it's sick......

@Kristen: I'm pretty grown up and I agree with Tina.

We can all go look up what he stands for, but he's been changing his mind lately. Dont blink, cuz he just might change his mind/ vote on something that was important to you.

People only THINK they know Obama. Obama is weak on issues. We can't afford a flip flopping prez and especially one who is weak.

Should I be the one to point out how Obama is flip flopping on his views on the Clintons? Hillary is doing what she is doing for the PARTY. Obama is using Hillary for her 49% of the votes.

With Terry McAuliffe running Hillary's campaign, it should come as no surprise that there was dissention. The only thing this hack can do is cash in tens of millions of dollars worth of Global Crossing stock options.
