Honestly, sometimes this job is so much fun because really you can't make this stuff up.

Ready?

This Friday, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton will appear together at a "Unite for Change" rally in Unity, New Hampshire where the final vote tally in the primary was 107 to 107.

Personally, I would have preferred Battleground, Washington or Defiance, Missouri but I think those spots might have been off-message...which is - all together now -

UNITY

So, Unity, New Hampshire for a Unite for Change rally.

I'm there.

Candy,
Great to hear from you. You always have the most interesting posts! And you didn't disappoint this time!

Obama is going to need unity! It seems his party is just as fragmented as the Reps is. Maybe they are banking on Unity, NH to give them a bit of luck in that area. LOL

And sadly, voter donations probably paid someone dearly to come up with this one. Are they going to sing Kumbaya, hold hands, and make daisy chains while they're at it? Maybe Peace Train should be their theme song and tie-dye their official colors. If people can't seen through the translucent saccharine theater of this move, America really is beyond help.

you guys shoudl play the Queen Latifah song "U.N.I.T.Y" as the background for the piece which i am sure will rock.

Since Clinton has been doing nothing but campaign for the last 18 months, can we New Yorkers get her Senate salary back? Campaigning for President certainly isn't in her current job description, and neither is campaigning for Obama. Maybe she could take a crack at getting us those 20,000 upstate jobs she promised in her last Senate campaign. That would be a nice 'change'.

Candy: Nothing like throwing some unity in with some politics. I'm glad you'll be at this rally. Always appreciate getting your take on what's going on. This should be interesting to watch unfold...and to see how these two work together now that they are singing the same song, if you will.

Unity, NH. How fitting! This is a long time coming and I, for one, am excited about their appearance together! Of course, CNN will cover this, right?

Candy,
I don't buy it...its all a SHOW and shows how little they think of us "normal" people, as if we can not read between the lines..

if she really supports him and thinks he will be a GREAT president, how come she has not released her delegates???

It's time for media not fall into Obama's manipulations...Remember, Obama is politicians from Chicago, most corrupt political playground.

You are so right!!!

And what irony it would be if only 107 people turned out for the rally in Unity, NH?

Loomis   June 23rd, 2008 9:08 pm ET

Where is Unity, New Hampshire? Is it that speck on the map southeast of Claremont near the state's southwest border?

Why not New Hampshire's Blue Mountain, or Mt. Patience, or better yet, Wonalancet or Sugar Hill?

Stagecraft, stagecraft, saccharine stagecraft.

Hi Candy!

Glad to see you on the blog again. So Unity NH ..... I wonder how long the campaign staffers had to look for a city named something like that. They sure aren't being subtle are they? More like hitting us over the head with the fact the Democratic party needs to unify behind Obama.

So that brings up a question. I read that even though Hillary had endorsed Obama, Bill had not. What's up with that?

Obama--yawn

Since she suspended her campaign, Obama has done zilch–in fact he has been vacationing.

This is too much-the DNC won the primary for him NOW he needs Hillary to win the general election-–Can't this guy do anything for himself???

Obama is not running for President-his is running for Princess

Candy Crowley you're one of my absolute favorites!

I was a Hillary Clinton supporter , but I am not a groupie as many O'Bama supporters and many Clinton supporters seem to be. Even if Mrs. Clinton were on the ticket (I am sure king O'Bama and his supporters would not have that) and they seem to be calling the shots for the DNC. Even if she were, I still would not vote for him. I think the media and the DNC were so unfair to Mrs. Clinton that I am totally turned off by them. I am an African American women who did not look at race or gender only at who I thought was the most qualified. However, that seemed to be the least thing on anyone's mind this time. The DNC was more set on who could raise the most money or bring in the new young people, I am sure they will not need my vote and they won't get it. Mrs. Clinton has to show unity , but I don't. It was not about picking a president. It seems to be more about making history or making money ,or throwing out the Clintons.
