Hey everyone, I have some great news.

Starting Monday, when you win ‘Beat 360°’ not only do you get on-air prime-time name recognition (complete with bragging rights over all your friends, family, and jealous competitors), but you get a “I Won the Beat 360° Challenge” T-shirt!

First we re-do the website, now this?!?!?! (You can pick your jaw up off the floor now).

So how did this all come about you ask?

  • At first we thought, ‘We’ll send the nightly winner to Paris!’ but no, who has the time for that…
  • Then we figured, ‘Hey, we’ll have them tag along with the Planet In Peril team!’ But then we realized our insurance wouldn’t cover you or a ‘Monkeypox’ outbreak...
  • But then it hit us… t-shirts! Everybody likes t-shirts!

Here’s a look at ours:
Beat 360°

So get your best captions ready for Monday – head to the gym, train all weekend… this isn’t a game! (oh wait, I guess it is)

For those of you who don’t know (or suddenly care because you can win something)– let me re-cap what we do:

Every day AC360˚ posts a picture on the blog and asks you to provide the caption. The staff gets in on the action too... Which viewer will write the best caption and ‘Beat 360˚?’

So we’ll see you Monday – give it your best caption– and we hope to send you a t-shirt really soon!

Loomis   June 20th, 2008 7:47 pm ET

I DO have time for the trip to Paris.

I'm still waiting for the free accordion lesson I won on Aaron Brown's "NewNight" program.

Can't you provide a contest that's a little more elevated than the crummy caption contest???

Lilibeth   June 20th, 2008 7:51 pm ET

Ooooh, but I'd love to be part of the Planet in Peril team, or the AC360 team for that matter! Oh well, I guess for now I'll be happy with a t-shirt...

Fay, CA   June 20th, 2008 7:55 pm ET

head to the gym, train all weekend… this isn’t a game!

Well, you had me until you mentioned exercising.

Nice looking t-shirts though.

Bryan   June 20th, 2008 7:58 pm ET

I watch Anderson all the time. Can't I have a t-shirt anyway and pretend I won?

Cindy   June 20th, 2008 8:07 pm ET

I wondered why you all didn't do this all along! I mean they have the IReport tee so why not this one.

But I hope that you all are setting up rules. I mean you can't have the exact same people winning all of the time. I'm just sayin...

Cindy...Ga.

Kathy S   June 20th, 2008 8:25 pm ET

I want one.... I want one......I really, really want one!

Ok, as second pick...I'll take the trip with the Planet in Peril team. I'll buy my own insurance.

Ron San Bruno,ca   June 20th, 2008 8:46 pm ET

The beat 360 Coffee Table Book , will be in store's for christmas , so make me some money, and a chance at your fifteen seconds of fame .wouldn't that be sweet ?

Ron San Bruno,ca   June 20th, 2008 8:50 pm ET

Well let's see how China will make everyone with 7.95 a winner .

Tracey - Boston   June 20th, 2008 8:51 pm ET

I'll take Paris
I'll tag along with the Planet In Peril team!’

But I will settle for t-shirt!!!

THANKS

Ron San Bruno,ca   June 20th, 2008 8:52 pm ET

OK Anderson . who designed it ?

Janna   June 20th, 2008 8:52 pm ET

Every time I contribute to the Beat 360 my partner asks me why I'm working for CNN for free...hahaha... now he can't say anything. BTW, he got me a CNN hat for Valentine's Day (which I love) so if I win, I'll be well accessorized :)

Ron San Bruno,ca   June 20th, 2008 8:55 pm ET

Im 62 ,240 lbs and where XXxL with man boob's will they come in all sizes .

Ron San Bruno,ca   June 20th, 2008 8:57 pm ET

Will we have a choice of colors .

maureen o. from california   June 20th, 2008 8:57 pm ET

Now I just need to figure out my size. hmmm. large.... xlarge. make it xlarge for me, even if its to large for me I'll just sleep in it.

Monika   June 20th, 2008 9:02 pm ET

I don't like t-shirts with writing on them, so I think you can keep these for now. The only t-shirt with writing I would wear (and die for) is one that says, "Anderson Cooper loves ME!" LOL

Kathy S   June 20th, 2008 9:03 pm ET

Can't the rest of us get one that says "I couldn't beat Joey"? (or maybe Ed?)

sara.Ro   June 20th, 2008 9:04 pm ET

This week many brilliant ideas at CNN .
The Tshirt is brand new or...:)

Betty Ann, Nacogdoches,TX   June 20th, 2008 9:05 pm ET

Cool Tee~Can the past winners have one too? I have been so faithful! :-)
If not, I'll take the trip to Paris ;-)
I love you guys!

michelle: Ont,Canada   June 20th, 2008 9:10 pm ET

Wow I wish with all my might that you would please pick my caption
Oh ,please, please with sugar on top beacause after all Anderson is the sweetest guy on tv!

Joseph M.   June 20th, 2008 9:10 pm ET

I won the Beat 360 a few weeks ago, that counts right?????? haha

Dori in AZ   June 20th, 2008 9:11 pm ET

How do you guys feel about throwing in a coupon for a gallon of diesel?

michelle: Ont,Canada   June 20th, 2008 9:11 pm ET

I have been faithfull and loyal since the beginining please give Michelle a chance! Won't you please Anderson?

Ron San Bruno,ca   June 20th, 2008 9:18 pm ET

See what happens when you have a simple innocent idea . One minute they love you . The next minute you have an agenda . That 's America . Thank God or Whoever's responsible . Oh yes and thank you Anderson for looking on the bright side of life, when you can . and giving us a forum where we can all laugh together .

michelle: Ont,Canada   June 20th, 2008 9:21 pm ET

Hey Great shirts I can see myself in one right now ! A medium size blue or red whould be great!

EJ (USA)   June 20th, 2008 9:23 pm ET

I'd rather have a shirt that has a picture of Anderson on it. One of those pictures that shows his strong arms. In fact, if you can make a night shirt like that, I will probably buy one. It has to be comfortable though.

Dori in AZ   June 20th, 2008 9:28 pm ET

You realize, of course, that then I'll have to stop to explain to everyone at the stock shop what the Beat 360* challenge is....

Jo Ann, North Royalton, Ohio   June 20th, 2008 9:28 pm ET

I would always have time for Paris! Although I would prefer a trip to see the mountain gorillas.

I would love a t-shirt, but I have to agree with Loomis, I would prefer something a little more "elevated" than the caption contest.

Elsa, Canada   June 20th, 2008 9:30 pm ET

Now, THAT is cool. Is it 100% cotton? lol

Dori in AZ   June 20th, 2008 9:34 pm ET

So, David, winning during this week won't count? Darn. The price one pays for showing up early....

Ed Sidney, Oh   June 20th, 2008 9:39 pm ET

Kathy S. Thanks for the compliment I think......lol

I'm glad you guys and gals finally came around to my idea of giving away a prize. Now that you have one, I probably won't stand a chance.
Erica, I'm counting on you to help me out here, I don't think Anderson likes me......lol

Another Idea: At the end of the year, have a drawing with ALL the winners in, and the winner gets a (full tank of gas,) or $ equivalent.

Good Luck All, Keep up the good work CNN and everyone. Take Care
Ed Freisthler (Pronounced) Fris-teller with a long i

Phil   June 20th, 2008 9:49 pm ET

Can I take my wife with me to Paris? I promise to wear the T-shirt when I get there.

Jolene   June 20th, 2008 9:50 pm ET

It seems like it’s a 50/50 chance just for my caption to get posted, let alone win. Hmmm. I suppose I’ll keep trying then. I mean who wouldn’t want a Beat 360 T-shirt? ;)

Jolene, St. Joseph, MI

meg , Toronto Canada   June 20th, 2008 10:11 pm ET

I hope blue isn't the only colour a pink one would be nice~

Ed Sidney, Oh   June 20th, 2008 10:36 pm ET

(IF) I win, could I have mine autographed, by all the Beat 360 staff and crew? You could use a white paint pen.

Will we have to give an acceptance speech?

I'm so nervous, I don't think I'll be able to sleep all weekend. Ohhh, The preassure of it all. Now I probably won't be able to think of a thing come Monday. Darn, you and your T-Shirt look what you have done to me.
I can see it now: The guy who had a chance to win a Beat 360 T-Shirt and lost it all, under pressure. LIVE ON LARRY KING

Ron San Bruno,ca   June 20th, 2008 10:47 pm ET

OK OK, so I have no life from Monday thru Friday because I live for Beat . I use that time to be on a diet, no food only bottled water and that damn picture of the day, driving me crazy . I never really cared about being a winner oh well Im lying about that . It was fun , I was looking for . And time to achieve my goal weight . Now its pressure , pressure Chocolate bar, Hot Tomale's in the 8oz box And a bottled water and the pressure is on with the next blog .So why did you put those damn Tee's on the plate . Now we'll all be trying to hack one another to pieces . just to win those damn Tee's. Let the game's begin .

Mike, Syracuse, NY   June 20th, 2008 11:03 pm ET

David, I won 2 days ago(the 2 seals)! How about a retroactive T-shirt?

steve   June 20th, 2008 11:46 pm ET

The t-shirts should be a light color with black letters.Too hot for summer months.

Terri from Atlanta   June 21st, 2008 12:12 am ET

Ron, Good luck to you on your diet. I have 6 pounds to my goal and it is not easy. You can do it!

Don, WA   June 21st, 2008 12:13 am ET

"What are some of these players talking about? What could be more "elevated" than The Beat 360 caption contest?
I want my t-shirt...I want my t-shirt...I want my t-shirt...I want my t-shirt...I want my t-shirt...I want my t-shirt: All work and no play makes Don a dull boy."

Phong Le   June 21st, 2008 2:02 am ET

That shirt looks like the one Anderson wore when he went to visit Africa except the words were added on.

fatiman   June 21st, 2008 3:03 am ET

I Won the Beat 360° Challenge” and all I didn`get was this awesome t-shirt!

Pete from Jersey   June 21st, 2008 9:42 am ET

I really could use some new sneaks , maybe with an A on one and a C on the other, and 360 on the side . Should go well with shirt.

Pete from Jersey   June 21st, 2008 9:54 am ET

If I win i want my own little oil well thank you. Give the shirt to the runner up.

Kayle, CT   June 21st, 2008 11:38 am ET

Haha that is really cool.....

You don’t have Monkeypox insurance, It comes separately along with all the other animal based ailments, bird flu ect… It can surely come in handy

Francine   June 21st, 2008 1:42 pm ET

Elsa from Canada asks, "Is it 100% cotton?" I'd like to know if it has a union label or if it was made in a sweat shop. Francie

Sarah, Canterbury - UK   June 21st, 2008 4:56 pm ET

What have you done !!!

The challenge is really out there now. As Paris is only a couple of hours from my home (by train), i'll take the T shirt !

Veronique, BC, Canada   June 21st, 2008 5:14 pm ET

I'm sure lots of folks would love a Tee like that.
Great idea, as always!

And what is so special about Paris anyway!?!

Kristien,Antwerp, Belgium   June 21st, 2008 6:54 pm ET

Man, I could have had 3 cool t-shirts by now...:(
Please don't listen to those who want people to only win once, well, at least not until I've had the chance to win "my" t-shirt!
(can you also do a "I'm the Beat 360 Queen" t-shirt? ;p)

Can't wait until Monday!

Jocelyne   June 21st, 2008 7:20 pm ET

Hi David, oh my.. oh my... this Beat360 contest is fun to read... to Ed Sydney... Ron San Bruno... you two are so funny! good luck all!!
and who wouldn't have time for Paris, or join PIP team... that woud be a dream-ticket! :)

Pete from Jersey   June 21st, 2008 7:32 pm ET

Any chance the t – shirt could fuel my vehicle ? I'll try anything at this stage. .....{ apologies for my too many posts }

RAddison   June 21st, 2008 8:46 pm ET

That a good looking T shirt, it would look great on me here in Tucson, AZ.

Rose from Southern Calif   June 21st, 2008 11:28 pm ET

Anderson...you did it again! Oh, by the way are you going to but your signature on it, for a bonus? Please...pretty please...Andy.

Lilibeth   June 22nd, 2008 4:17 pm ET

Hey David, how about an "On the Radar" t-shirt for those whose comments are read on the air? My comments were read 7 times last year. Can I please have at least one CNN t-shirt, autographed by Anderson and Erica? I'll give you my address...

Kelly Los Angeles CA   June 22nd, 2008 5:49 pm ET

Hi David,

I was the Beat 360 winner on March 28, 2008 and have been intending to ask for a T-shirt, coffee mug, internship, or job for my effort. Erica applauded, and Anderson said "Standing ovation" for my submission. So may I please have an XXX-Large or the largest you have.

Thank you

Kelly

Harley, Boston   June 22nd, 2008 9:48 pm ET

I assume the t-shirt in question is 100% organic cotton. And the colors are from soy-based inks. PLease advise soonest

EJ (USA)   June 22nd, 2008 10:05 pm ET

I think an AC 360 coffee/beverage mug is actually a better idea.

Patrick Rancholo   June 23rd, 2008 1:58 am ET

i was watching Mr cooper displaying the T-shirt on screen on cnn and immediately i loved it.how do i order the t-shirt on line.

Patrick Rancholo   June 23rd, 2008 2:17 am ET

if i can win please i would like to buy the t shirt on line, where.

Ilhana, Bosnia   June 23rd, 2008 3:26 am ET

if I win it, I want Anderson to sign it for me!=) (postage to Bosnia would be a bit higher though hehe)

Tom, Washington D.C.   June 23rd, 2008 7:33 am ET

T-shirt for the winners is a great idea! There's no need for a more "elevated" contest. This gives us a laugh or a smile at the end of the day.

Ed Sidney, Oh   June 23rd, 2008 11:15 am ET

Hi Jocelyne, Good Luck to you also, and to the rest of the gang, past, present and future.

michelle: Ont,Canada   June 23rd, 2008 11:16 am ET

Hey Anderson
If I win can you please autograpgh it for me? I would really appricate it . I f not well it still fun playing but this makes it much more fun!

Tita   June 23rd, 2008 12:07 pm ET

How 'bout a t-shirt with Anderson's mug on it? With his head turning
360, ala holograph like. Come on!! Don't be so cheap!!!!

Ok, I'll take this one.

Tita
Oregon

Gina - Lancaster, PA   June 23rd, 2008 1:11 pm ET

Awesome! I always enjoyed playing Beat 360 (and even won twice), but this is even more incentive.

Thanks for looking out for your faithful viewers! :-)

carmen   June 23rd, 2008 1:24 pm ET

How about a t-shirt for the rest of us with the caption: " I did NOT win beat 360". I'd buy it.

Laura Setzke, Chicago IL   June 23rd, 2008 4:00 pm ET

I am going to keep trying until I win won. Hopefully.

Martha from MI   June 23rd, 2008 4:16 pm ET

Great idea! Oh by the way-Anderson- why not throw in a "Y ee" or to everyone else the Wii. Boy, I don't think you'll ever live that mistake down! But it's ok- your mistake gave me a few minutes of real laughter! Quite a chuckle!!

liz toledo oh   June 23rd, 2008 4:32 pm ET

I would wear the shirt all the time. .... those are the coolest. It would definitely make everyone jealous. Well, I won the beat 360 jan.25 with Mamma? no it's Obama. But just having my caption on cnn was amazing. I played it on morning tv announcements at my high school. The beat360 t-shirt would be most appreciated here though.

Kristina, Exeter, NE   June 23rd, 2008 7:04 pm ET

You know what would be The Bomb??? Giving the winner an internship!!! Even if they are middle-aged, taking an on-line college course in communications, living in the middle of nowhere, but is still (sorta) up-to-date with new lingo! :)

Ray Jones, MD   June 23rd, 2008 11:09 pm ET

I agree with a previous poster, they should be autographed by Anderson.

Mark   June 24th, 2008 3:14 pm ET

This T-shirt will be "formal wear" at the trailer park...when I WEAR a shirt....

I need to work on my creative juices–to bad theyr'e black, might be difficult for Andy to sign.

William Dowd, PA   June 24th, 2008 9:31 pm ET

What a great Idea. I hope I win one. Love the show!

William Dowd, Lock Haven, PA

Mark Curtis   June 26th, 2008 2:50 am ET

My wife would look great in one of those shirts.

Lis Alexandra from Capital of Texas   June 26th, 2008 11:30 am ET

Great Shirt, Great Design !!
You Know What's Missing Though ?
What Would Make it A PERFECT Shirt Would Be if the World's Most Handsome, Most Gorgeous Journalist (Anderson Himself) Were Shipped Along Inside the Shirt !!
I guess I just don't believe in SETTLING !!
Can we at least talk about tagging along with Planet in Peril, I am a biologist, so pox be damned. . .
it's worth the risk just to watch Anderson at work !! ;)
Love Your Show, and Never Miss It,
i.e. Recently my Satellite went out and I hooked up a wireless adapter, just so I could watch your show online that night !!
We Are Your #1 Most Devoted Fans !! ^o^
Stay Cool, Anderson, You Know You're the Best !!

Gordon   June 26th, 2008 12:27 pm ET

Greetings from Athens, Greece...

Sure would like to win this to wear at the beach! A hat would be nice too... Now if only I can beat the time difference...

Dawn Wirth   June 26th, 2008 1:41 pm ET

this rules!

What the former execs at "Bears" & Stearns are forced to become now

Patrick Clarke, Toronto, Canada   July 1st, 2008 9:59 pm ET

I don't like how this thing is going. When I submit my comments, it says comments are being reviewed, yet posters after me have theirs posted, while mine remains "being reviewed" all night. I don't get it. Not fair! I want a T-shirt!
