Morning folks…
It is yet another primary day today…and NO, the Democratic race is NOT over yet!! The polls are open in Kentucky, where like West Virginia, Hillary Clinton is expected to win BIG, and I mean BIG!!! AND in Oregon, it is a write-in primary, voters there have had two weeks to send in their votes. They start counting the votes early in the morning and by 11 pm eastern time (8 pm local time) they expect to have about 50% of their votes counted and they should have a pretty good idea who the winner there is…. In Oregon, Barack Obama is expected to be declared the winner. So at the end of the day, it will feel like ground hog day all over again. ONE win for Clinton, ONE win for Obama…and both claiming they are the better candidate for the party. Soooo, now what?
Well, after the win in Oregon, Obama is expected to declare he has the “majority of the pledged delegates” so therefore he should be the DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE. BUT hold on folks, after her expected big win in Kentucky, Clinton is expected to say she has the bigger number in the “popular vote” (if you include Florida and Michigan) so therefore she should be the DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE…. like I said, it is ground hog day, people….
SO tune in tonight to CNN and join Anderson, Wolf Blitzer, Campbell Brown and the BEST POLITICAL TEAM on TV for all the results and the analysis…and a basic understanding as to why both candidates just will declare victory…
Never a dull moment in this election…..

May 20th, 2008 7:01 am ET The Dems call Bush an idiot? Hillary can’t even perform simple math. When counting her votes: 2+2=7 When counting Obama’s votes: 2+2=1 Why do 49% of the Dems want to elect someone who is either an idiot or unethical (or both)? It’s time to let Obama and McCain fight it out for the Presidency. Hillary’s math just smacks of “what the definition of is, is”… What’s the definition of a vote? Classic Clintonianism. |

Obama wins and all the white pundits keep talking about Rev. Wright………………..and in the same sentence they will say the polls say that the Rev.Wright issue in not a ISSUE! McCain and Hillary made made statement and say SORRY ……………….And that’s it the white pundits ‘”"LET IT GO”" Alll Obama Obama negetives are repeated everyday………………FoxNews Hannity for the last 8 weeks has done nothing but report rumor lies and negetive about Obama…..Where is the white leadership……………whereis the fair…ness? |

May 20th, 2008 7:30 am ET Last night I saw on u-tube the “sweetie” comment that Barack Obama made to a female reporter in a auto factory. How is that this is not talked about? Does anyone not realize that to females, being called “sweetie” in a dismissive way like that is to women the equivalent of a racial slur? Where is the outrage? |

May 20th, 2008 8:25 am ET You all need to explain better to us how can Obama be the dem nominee after today when he still doesn’t have enough delegates to seal the deal? The superdelegates don’t vote until the convention so it doesn’t matter what they say now they can always change their vote right up until the second that they vote! And BTW their votes aren’t added in yet because they haven’t voted!! He can not seal the deal until the convention so why are you all saying that he can? The only other way that he can win before then is if Hillary drops out and I don’t see that happening. So why don’t you all tell the truth! I am just keeping YOU ALL honest. |

May 20th, 2008 8:39 am ET I read this report from Senator Clinton: “You can declare yourself anything, but if you don’t have the votes, it doesn’t matter,” Clinton said Monday in a satellite interview with an Oregon television station before a campaign appearance in Kentucky. My comment is was she speaking of herself declaring herself as one who could win but the votes don’t show it or Senator Obama who is acting as the chosen one but not enough votes to make his win official. |

May 20th, 2008 8:48 am ET Good Morning, Just an observation…It seems that a government by the people and for the people should be decided BY THE PEOPLE, not delegates. Yet, a candidate who claims he’s for the little guy is going to go against THE PEOPLE of this nation by counting delegates to win.(Whether the party recognizes them or not, the voters of Florida and Michigan are very much part of this nation. And Obama not being on Michigan’s ticket, so bad, so sad for the mistake on his team’s part in not pushing it earlier. The popular vote should count in those states, though.) Democracy apparently isn’t real democracy and the voice of the people apparently won’t matter when Obama prematurely claims victory based on a delegate count and not a popular vote count. Hmm. Makes me wonder how much the people will actually count in an Obama White House. Obviously not much based on this. |

May 20th, 2008 8:58 am ET I’ll be very glad when this primary season is over. No one really believes the Hillary fantasy mindset. You see her on tv now and you turn the channel. The back and forth between Obama and Bush/McCain is interesting though. How bout those 75,000 people that came out to see Obama in Oregon……….very impressive. |

May 20th, 2008 9:11 am ET Morning Anderson: I watched part of your show last night, in regards to Senator Obama asking the Republicans to lay off his wife is ludicrous, Bill Clinton has been under attack through out this entire campaign, so I say she is fair game, my dad used to have a saying, if you can’t run with the big dogs, stay on the porch. If she can’t take the heat she needs to stay home, and he needs to get tougher against the Republicans if he is going to win against John McCain. |

May 20th, 2008 9:11 am ET PETERS’ CREDIBILITY IS SHOT! Up until recently, when former U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel, John McCain presidential campaign advisor and syndicated columnist Ralph Peters went against the grain and wrote something positive about our progress in Iraq, such as “Success in Iraq: A Media Blackout” (May 20), I’d wholeheartedly believe him. However, in recent weeks, my perception of Peters’ reporting has changed. Though everyone in and out of the media completely missed the significance of it, on May 5, he wrote a column entitled, “Saudi Stick-Up” in which he stated with utmost conviction that the reason gas prices has risen so dramatically was because the Saudi royal family was “punishing” America because President Bush defied their “order” to not invade Iraq. The problem with his premise is that it is in complete contradiction to Bob Woodward’s “the definitive account” perspective from his Bush at War trilogy books. According to Woodward, the Bush White House and the Saudi royal family got along great before and after the launching of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Woodward has them both 100 percent on the same page on removing Saddam Hussein from power by any means necessary, with the Saudis even offering logistical and military assistance. And to back up Woodward’s reporting, if, indeed, the Saudis were mad at Bush for defying them by invading Iraq in 2003, why didn’t they “punish” America during the 2004 election cycle when their actions would have had major repercussions on Bush’s re-election chances? If gas was $4 per gallon in 2004—in the direct wake of the Iraq war–Bush would have lost in a humiliating landslide. Now that’s how you get back at a U.S. president for allegedly screwing you over! There are several economic cause and effect reasons why the price of crude oil has skyrocketed. But the Saudis “punishing” America because President Bush defied their order to not invade Iraq is pure hogwash! The big question is why would a high-level McCain campaign advisor be advancing this bogus reason of why gas prices are $4 per gallon? As I see it, this is the biggest unreported story in America. And until Ralph Peters addresses this, his credibility is shot and I don’t want to see or hear another word out of him. |
