Anderson and Erica are back!

And there's plenty to chew on tonight. Eliot Spitzer's prostitution bombshell dominated the news today. We'll also hear about Hillary Clinton's job offer to Barack Obama – and his response.

As always, we'll start posting comments at 10p ET and stop at 11p ET.

I bet the real George Fox is pretty upset right now....

Christina, Windber, PA   March 10th, 2008 10:27 pm ET

Maybe if men in high profile careers choose prostitutes because there it's easier to keep it secret. If they pick up a woman in a bar, she'd might be blabbing about it all over the place the next day. Or worse yet, she'd might blackmail him.

Kay   March 10th, 2008 10:27 pm ET

What was he thinking? He wanted sex. I think the media should be focusing on the hypocrisy of this rather than the "why"s of it.

Pamela Hewett   March 10th, 2008 10:27 pm ET

Are you kidding me with the gentleman speaking , that says he is under stress and can't speak out or come home and tell his wife that he is stressed..... so he acts out and finds a sexual prostitute.. he can release his stress there. I am 44 a business owner and a woman. I have a lot of stress in my life with taking care of my family and employees. I'm single. I have no one to take my stress out on and I function without seeing a prostitue. Please don't let people like this on your show.

Emme   March 10th, 2008 10:27 pm ET

So Anderson, have you guys booked an interview with Kristen yet?

Sandi   March 10th, 2008 10:48 pm ET

A couple of points. Erica, I don't think we conciously sit around and wait for politicians to make mistakes, but I do think we are not surprised when they do because it has almost come to be the norm. This is a sad state of affairs (no pun intended).

Also to the guy complaining about CNN reporting. Maybe you are reading in to it what you want to. I have watched CNN since it first came to television. I am a political science graduate. Maybe you should just take the reporting for what it is...reporting the news.

Janna   March 10th, 2008 10:49 pm ET

KG, Clinton did not use a prostitute. That is why. You know that it is illegal, right?

Andy Garcia   March 10th, 2008 10:49 pm ET

ARE U KIDDING ME!!!! Another Chelsea story? Please don't become the Clinton News Network!!!!

Lilibeth   March 10th, 2008 10:49 pm ET

Chelsea is working very hard to campaign for her mom. She's grown up to be a very beautiful, poised, intelligent woman. I admire her! Thanks for profiling her again.

Brent   March 10th, 2008 10:49 pm ET

What's the point of having Lanny Davis on. Surely you can find a better Clinton supporter that this guy. I find David Gergon to be impartial and play it pretty straight but even he laughs at the nonsense coming out of that guy's mouth. Obama hasn't passed the national security threshold apparently unless he helps her eminence taking her "rightful" place in the whitehouse as her VP. What a joke

jeff I   March 10th, 2008 10:49 pm ET

whats up with Lanny?! get over it Dude, she screwed up and Barack called her on it....I hate it when guests talk over you and other guests, especially when they know they are wrong....

lou   March 10th, 2008 10:49 pm ET

I don't understand why everyone keeps saying tha senator Obama is ahead in delegates, when really he is not, if they allow the outcome of the florida election (wich they should, because if they don't I'll be voting for McCain – I didn't go vote for Clinton for nothing) he is behind, florida is a state where winner take all. – that's why he doesn't want it to count. – SLICK OBAMA

lily   March 10th, 2008 10:49 pm ET

i loved the report that gary did on chelsea clinton. she seems pretty down to earth & normal, to my surprise. before watching this report, i've always assumed that she was an uptight & cocky person

Mary C   March 10th, 2008 10:49 pm ET

I support Barack Obama only. I would never vote for an Obama/Clinton ticket or vice versa. I'm so glas Senator Obama put that lie to rest. Let's change the subject to Hillary's inability to share her tax forms for the past few years. I want more debate about this issue. Unbeievable that people don't raise up and require this from her. Delay, distract, delay ,distract , delay. It is not presidential to hide information form voters who have a right to know her financial business as we do Obama's.

Eric   March 10th, 2008 10:49 pm ET

Anderson,

Why do you keep having that Clinton hack Lanny Davis on the show? I don't really like having surrogates on b/c they don't provide any analysis or info, just talking points. But at least the Obama fellow sticks to the questions and doesn't try to hijack the show to score political points.

This is the second show in recent days where you've had to tell Davis that he's getting too far into the weeds to make a point. The other day he wasted three minutes on an esoteric point and you had to correct him on the facts.

David Gergen is great. But get rid of the political hacks, especially if they're going to abuse the privilege and just go for total spin.

mary lamb   March 10th, 2008 10:49 pm ET

anderson, we'd like to see a real interview of chelsea...

since mom and dad won't even let the press talk to her "on the record"...now anderson, erica...that would be a real coup..

cecily mcgovern   March 10th, 2008 10:50 pm ET

Hi
why do you keep covering Chelsea Clinton–when she won't answer questions from reporters. How often will you do this story? Last week and this week is enough–two puff pieces in a row.
with the endless Hillary and Bill coverage–you have put me over the top with 3 Clintons–each one controlling the press corps in their own way.
enough!
