February 11th, 2008 11:49 am ET By what Divine right does ANY party chairman get off canceling my vote because he THINKS other guy won? If this has been going on for years then its no wonder politics is in the pitiful state it is in. Giving ONE person the RIGHT to cancel even one vote is a slippery slope indeed. it would be interesting to know just how much of “It looks like hes going to win so there is no point in continueing to count votes”, nonsense is common practice. Why waste my valuable time voting if my vote is only going to be counted if I vote for the winner? |

February 11th, 2008 12:27 pm ET I have to agree with what Mike Huckabee said regarding calling the state of Washingtion’s winner before all the votes were counted. “This isn’t a Democratic Process.” But rather keeping in line with the current administrations past practices when it came to calling a State’s? Is this what we want again? To be told who our leaders are going to be? The US insists on other countries having fair and free elections, such as Pakistan or IRAQ, however they do the opposite in their own country? It is shameful that people withing the Republican Party are asking Mr. Huckabee to step aside for the good of his party and not allow the voting process to make full circle and see where the cards lay at the end. What are they afraid of? Then and only then will they bring new young people into the process and let them know that their vote does count. The message they sent was, “Go home, it doesn’t matter anyway.” I am not a Republican or Democrat but I am concerned US Citizen |
