Sorry to hear about your illness! A while back a CNN reporter (can’t remember her name) did a show on the flu bug. Your office desk is the number one place to pick up the germs. Just read you are supposed to “knuckle” the office copy machine. Who knew? Hope you are better soon!

I thought the blog would have some Republican post-debate analysis. It was good to see the separation of the boys from the men. Cheers to Bill Bennett and Amy Holmes. Just wondering any bloggers going with Bill and his gang on the Bennett cruise in March? Anderson, John and Candy, are you going? Seems like it would be a good respite from running around the country! I wonder if you have to show your voter ID card to get on board.

Just wondering with the remarkable Nancy Reagan in the audience was anyone else hoping for a question on stem-cell research? I just thought that would be appropriate. May be those stem-cell questions were off limits. I see India and China putting so much money into stem-cell that I fell like we are lagging so much in this research and analysis.

Having both of my children’s stem cells stored since birth I have spent a great amount of time and research learning about world wide efforts with stem cells to erradicate disease and despair.

Flu? Try some chicken soup. It’s more than good for the soul. Not so great for the chicken…but an effective natural remedy for us humans.
Forget knuckling the photocopier. If you wash your hands alot , it’s less likely you’ll catch those nasty bugs. Unless of course, you have a toddler. Then you’re doomed as toddlers are germ vectors during flu season :-)
Renee, thanks for mentioning the stem cells. As I understand it, they are obtained from the blood in the baby’s umbilical cord and it’s a relatively simple procedure to extract them. This is different from bone marrow extraction which is an expensive procedure and is very painful for the donor.
Many hospitals offer moms of newborns the chance to bank cord blood, should any family member need it in the future. Perhaps someone should do a story on this, as it’s not well known that the service is available.
Can’t wait to see Hillary and Barack square off tonight at the Kodak theatre. It was built for the Academy Awards, and while it looks large and grand on television, in reality, it’s a fairly intimate setting once you get inside.
Al Gore’s got his Oscar for An Inconvenient Truth, so these two won’t be the first Presidential contenders to grace that stage. Can’t wait to see what the candidates have to say and can’t wait to see what Hillary wears for her Oscar debut.

Dear Morning Buzz guy,

I hope you get well soon,
From your Morning Buzz flu,
I’m sure it’s not all that bad,
Considering your mile long blogs,
Though I whiz past it in seconds,
I just thought I’d drop by and pass,
A note to make you feel a lot better.
