Wouldn’t it be great if you could put the whole election on time lapse and it we could get to Nov 4th and just settle this thing already?

Cindy   January 29th, 2008 2:52 pm ET

Thanks for the behind the scenes look at how the debate stage was set up. It looks really cool!!

Looks like the Republicans will have a cool stage for Wednesday. Can’t wait to hear what they have to say!

Lilibeth   January 29th, 2008 6:15 pm ET

Wow, this really makes you appreciate how much time and effort are involved in creating a set. It will be beautiful in the end! Thanks for all of your hard work!

Pretty cool! I wish I could get all of my things done that fast. Great luck tomorrow, I hope everything runs smoothly!

The time lapse view was great. Looks like a lot of work to put it all together even on time lapse but the results are very imposing. Looking forward to the debates.
Thanks for showing us this!

Who’s paying for this? Those “conservatives” really know how to blow some dough!

Stuff like this is why I loved doing extra work; just to hang out and see the background work.

I love watching HOW it is made. I guess it is my design nature.

I used to chat up the crew and ask all kinds of questions like “What is that light called?” “It’s a blonde, and this one is a baby.”

I want to be a stage mouse and just watch it all.

Keep it coming….Please.

Very nice design by the way.

Jolene   January 29th, 2008 10:48 pm ET

Great stage design! Looking forward to the debate. The McCain and Romney exchange should be quite interesting!

I want to hear Ron Paul’s position on each item asked McCain and Romney.
The panel ignores Paul altogether and it is shameful. As long as he is on the stage, he should have his ideas heard. Otherwise, you are suppressing ideas, popular, workable or not. Quit acting like a bunch of Democrats and let Paul have his say. McCain and Romney are now sounding like broken records.

Once again Ron Paul gets ignored, Seems to me the candidates sound more and more like Dr Paul as each debate goes by. Its been one hour and he gets 2 coments. People ought to wonder why is this so? Because Dr paul speaks the truth and ruffles alot of feathers. Anderson you need to be fair, your ridiculously biased AGAINST Ron Paul and your losing your credibility

stephanie frank   January 30th, 2008 9:24 pm ET

Mr. Cooper:
I agree with the previews comment. I believe that your reputation, as a fair and professional news provider, is at stake. You have successfully tossed all of your gains from blood, sweat and tears out of the window within the last couple of hours. Whether you agree with the ideas and positions of these 4, emphasis on the number, candidates, it is your responsibility to give the U.S. citizens a fair chance to listen to ALL of the men on stage.

Susan   January 30th, 2008 10:01 pm ET

I’m sure This was one of the most watched debates …….. especially for the undecided people. I felt the debate was a bit unfair. There sure was not much time given to Huckabee or Ron Paul.

Dick   January 30th, 2008 10:21 pm ET

I just watched the GOP debates and have concluded. John McCain is far from presidential. What are you people seeing? We already have a bonehead in the white house…we don’t need another. This debate proved it. McCain is an idiot! He may be a hero but I don’t see him helping the average american. He has said nothing to get my vote, to the contrary, he lost my vote.

I was in the thought that if it were Clinton vs McCain, I would vote McCain because I don’t like Clinton at all…but let me tell you Republican party…if you elect McCain as the candidate, you will not win!

I am very disappointed!

As an undecided voter, I did not feel you gave me a broad view of the candidates to choose from. Your main focus on McCain and Romney was boring. Huckabee brought some life to the McCain/Romney interview. I don’t know what to think of Paul, I mean you promised to let him answer on conservatism. You did not keep your promise. I have change my view on your judgment. I watch your show often. Let’s just say, I do not look forward to see your show anytime soon. At least I still have Glen Beck.

Darcy   January 30th, 2008 11:48 pm ET

Coop who’s leading the show? You time and time again allowed McCain and Romney to dominate this debate. Poor Huckabee and Paul. They were repeatedly cut off, ignored, and left there to feel exasperated. They were so polite and patient, probably to their detriment. I hope you have the opportunity to review the telecast and see what many people on the blog are commenting on. Stand up and run your show next time! Let these people speak or don’t invite them next. To treat them like you did is totally unfair.

Amber   January 31st, 2008 1:03 am ET

I would have liked to have seen more about Ron Paul. What’s going on guys?

Reba   January 31st, 2008 1:07 am ET

Wow! A little biased, don’t you think? I never imagined a candidate being interrupted before he can complete two sentences, while the others were allow to say whatever they wanted. That was really depressing to see such a lack of respect for Ron Paul. He’s a good man, and incredibly brilliant. It’s too bad we live in a world where such behavior as yours is permitted, and even endorsed.

moira gehring   January 31st, 2008 7:34 pm ET

The behavior of Cooper in the debate last night was a disgrace. The viewers deserve to have a straight answer from Cooper as to why McCain and Romney were permitted to monopolize the show, and why Paul and Huckabee were snubbed. How can we consider this a democracy when the news is blatantly manipulated by a small group of self-selected persons not answerable to the public. Was this something management insisted upon, or was this something Cooper as a political operative? We deserve to have this discussed without the usual Fox/CNN spin.
