The ‘new blog’ blog
Posted: 10:52 AM ET

Good morning Bloggers!!

Notice something new today?  No we didn’t get a haircut or a new shirt; We took the blog to the next level. The new AC360Blog launched this morning and we hope you like it. As one of our senior producers said, “It’s like we’ve given birth…”  (Well I hope it’s less painful than that… but just as rewarding!)

The 360Blog promises to be more interactive and more custom fitted to your daily blog needs. More pictures, more video… we haven’t exactly figure out how it can make you coffee or do your laundry yet (thanks for promising that on-air Anderson… no pressure or anything)

So what’s new? Check out ‘Morning Buzz’ for example – hold your mouse over a link and you get a preview of where we’re sending you (What?! You don’t trust us to send you somewhere good?).

Also, is there a certain topic, correspondent, or commentator you like? You can create a ‘customized blog’ by viewing only those specific topics!  At the bottom of the article check out the ‘filed under’ option –click on any one of those links – and boom! A customized blog!

So let’s keep the dialogue going and let the blogs begin!

David,
CONGRATS for giving birth to a “new” blog! LOL Even though it can’t make us coffee, do our laundry or help us find sasquatch it does give us an interesting take on the news!

I saw this morning when I came on to read the Buzz that you all finally changed it to take comments like Wolf’s and Lou’s blogs do. It’s about time!

Looking forward to the great things that we can do with it and whatever else you’lls crack team can come up with! LOL

I think it’s a great new change. Decaf or regular coffee?

Hey,
Thanks for making the blog blogger friendly. I visit your site every day. That’s a great picture of Anderson by the way. Where is your foto?? Let us see the face that has launched this site, or changed it, or ‘birthed” it, or whatever.

Thanks again,
Kindest Regards,
Tita

VIVA CHANGE!

Nice going & the best format yet!

David:
Okay, it is going to take a minute or two to figure out how to get around this new blog, but otherwise, it is great!

The snapshots are a great link to the news pages containing the articles. It is easy to snap up the news in the Morning Buzz.

It is always interesting to see how the 360 Blog will evolve.

Well, Well So Ted Kennedy has endorsed Obama. W ho in their right mind, outside of Mass., cares what a man does that got away with murder years ago.
The bedroom antics of the Kennedys make Bill Clinton look like a saint .
I am a registered Republican & I will be voting for the best & strongest candidate for our country this time & that is Hillary Clinton. Not because she is a woman but because she is the only candidate running that can lead our country out of the financial & war mess that we’re in with a Republican at the wheel.
Bill Clinton would be the best Foreign Ambassador of anyone in this country & I am sure Hillary will use him in that position. By the way I am female, over 55, & well informed.

Thanks For Listening,
Sue DeRoche

Great remodeling job and the new features sound very intriguing. Nice work.

Thank you so much for the blog makeover! It looks wonderful!

It’s clean and sharp, just the way it should be, and congrats on the innovative style!

The second you figure out how to brew coffee through my computer, I’m purchasing stock.

The changes are a welcome addition to the blog. I particularly like the e-mail address requirement to post. Free speech is great, but it’s also good to hold people personally responsible for what they say.

Why does the media keep reporting the surge is working. We heard reports and read reports that we are paying the Sunnis not to shoot our soldiers? Even the soldiers on the ground are saying “when the money runs out, will they start shooting again?” Where is John Burns adn Michael Moore (I think that is his first name) who did on-the-spot reporting? They did a great job of keeping us informed about the Iraq War.

FYI: Flags are flying half staff in front of Utah government buildings for Gordon B Hinkley’s death. This is an obvious non separation of church and state. Can someone at CNN please make point this out? I am not sure if people outside of Utah realize this.

While I’m usually not about change, this is one classy website. I like that we aren’t using a web-based Google format anymore like a bunch of high schoolers. I feel like an adult again without the cutesy MySpace type photo homages to Anderson and account monikers. I also like the fact that we have to give our names and email to prove we are real. It’s good to be in the adult world of blogging again. Excellent job!!!

NO LAUNDRY? Well, you better make sure Anderson sticks around then. I don’t really mind if it doesn’t make coffee; I’m a tea drinker.

I like the customized blog idea. Thanks!

Hi David, thank you so much for this new blog. I like all the cool features, especially the “Filed Under” links after each blog. It keeps the blog very organized and helps me zone in on the topics I’m interested in. Thank you all for your efforts!

David, here’s a good one; I’m between 21 and 51 and have no idea what a blog really is. I have been told that I need one because I’m very outspoken. They say you should get your thoughts and ideas out ther because although unconventional at times, voices and opinions like yours need to be heard. So, if you have time, let me know, what is a blog? How do you start one?Etc., Etc., Etc.. Am I blogging right now? As I sit here and listen to the Eagles play How Long, I wonder “how long” Cnn will continue to be the #1 network for all things relevant? I wonder if you can keep Wolf, Jack, John King, Larry, Candy, and all the others, and please don’t any of you feel slighted if I didn’t mention your name? “How long” will we be able to watch your show and get the story as it unfolds with live video and feeds without commentary to suggest how i”m supposed to feel at the time or react according to someone else’s views? ” “How long ” will the politicians allow us to state our views before they eventually and finally take them away?

Thank you for your efforts and the opportunities you provide for us, the American public, to discuss our differences and views. As soon as I figure out exactly what a blog is and can make sense of your recent improvements, I hope to be more active on this medium I am unfamilier with.

Our biggest ” threat” to world peace is “Jihadism” and Senator McCain has the best chance of controlling the Radical Jihads.

Rosina Vereivalu Fiji Islands   February 6th, 2008 11:07 pm ET

I live in the Fiji Islands and I have been following with “Great Interest” the U.S Presidential Campaign .As a result - I believe Senator John McCain could be the most effective Nominee that could control the “threat” of world wide Radical Jihadism.
