Jamie,
Morning…hope you had a great weekend.

Well I am SO glad that the S.C. primaries are finally over!! Now maybe some of the media will actually lay to rest this whole race crap! It’s a bit old! And we need to focus on the issues not junk like that!

I wasn’t suprised that Obama won S.C. Maybe all of Clinton’s negativity got on people’s nerves and cost her some votes.

Well I guess tonight all we will get is Bush’s State of the Union coverage and then analysis afterwards. I hope it doesn’t bore me to death! I wish CNN would just do one show on it and move on!! No need to cover it all night. What more can you add that hasn’t already been said 15 times!? I’m just sayin…

You can’t really believe anything that Hussein said IMO. Whether there were WMD’s or not in Iraq I don’t think he would tell the truth anyway!

This Florida primary is looking like it is really going to be a tight one. It may be the closest yet in votes. Hard to say who’ll win there. I think it’s between McCain and Romney though. I don’t think Giuliani has a shot.

Now who in their right mind would put an ad in the paper looking to hire a hit man!? That is the craziest thing that I have ever heard! LOL She must be really stupid!

Anderson,
I don’t really know why you guys are covering and sponsoring debates for the Democrats. They are not making any difference in how people are voting. They are voting on ethnic and gender lines no matter what. It was pretty much a concensus that John Edwards won the South Carolina debate and he finished 3rd in primary. I am saddened by this whole affair.
I have thought about it quite a bit and if I was black fellow and I saw that a black man had a real chance at the presidency I would probably do the same thing. If I were a woman and saw that a woman had a real chance at the presidency I might do the same thing.
John Edwards has a clear message of encouragement for all to hear. He is a good and decent man with an enormous desire to serve and make things better. How has he performed under pressure in his life? Look at the earth shaking things that have happened in his personal life and you have to feel pretty good that he could handle the awesome job of President of the United States. But I guess, because he is a white man from the South, we may never know. Go figure!
In some ways I guess it is poetic justice that we with that God given affliction know the sting of racism and sexism but it hurts no less. I have always thought it stupid to dislike someone because of there race or gender. They can’t help that. It’s my Mom and Dad’s fault I’m a white guy. Why would anyone hold that against me? I’m sure John Edwards won’t focus on that but that’s what is happening and I don’t see anyway it will be stopped during this campaign.

Regards,
RI

Living in Kentucky where mining is a way of life for many, I am really upset by the violations that are going unpunished. Miners deserve a safer place to work.

Despite what other people think I really like the way CNN has covered the debates, primaries and now the SOTU. Although CNN does have a lot of political consultants each has their own perspective and although we may not agree with them its good to hear all sides of the spectrum. While other media outlets only provide their viewers with one side of the issues, the networks side, CNN gives us all the facts and lets us decide for ourselves which way we want to see things.

The Florida primary will be interesting. I also want to hear the two debates on CNN this week. Add that to Super Tuesday and I think we’ll start to see who really is going to take the nominations. It should be a wild week.

HUMAN TRAFFICKING
I have recently become involved with The Barnaba Institute, a nonprofit organization providing support to victims of human trafficking in the U.S., as well as raising awareness through education and media.
I couldn’t help but notice on the page with the Miss Michigan Takes Top Tiara… story, Ads by Google, a quiz called “The Are You Ugly Quiz.” Has it ever occurred to Google and to CNN that these are nothing more than tricks to gain personal information? Take the quiz. What does your date of birth, your address, email, and whether you are a U.S. resident have to do with it? They stick these questions in as the last item before the continue button.
Also, The Barnaba Institute educates the public on boycotting Craig’s List which has become a primary website for the sale and exploitation of children, youth and adults.
Let’s become more aware of these sites and stop these inane games and quizzes which are nothing more than personal information gathering sites.

Thanks,

Sandra

Love the new format of the blog. I’m interested in the effect that the Kennedy endorsements will have on Super Tuesday. With both Caroline and Ted Kennedy backing Obama, I wonder if that will influence their cousin, Maria Shriver to support him as well. I don’t believe Arnold Schwarzenegger has enorsed anyone on the Republican side yet. So far California has been pretty much backing Clinton on the Democratic side, I wonder how this will change things?
